[kmail2] [Bug 384480] New: Kmail crashes on select recipient

2017-09-07 Thread Geoffrey
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384480

Bug ID: 384480
Summary: Kmail crashes on select recipient
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.1.3
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: composer
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: l...@cvbt-web.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 107744
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=107744&action=edit
backtrace

Reproducible steps:
Add a contact to Kaddressbook.
Compose an email in Kmail.
Click select, while the address are loading it crashes.

Remove the contact from Kaddressbook and "akonadaictl restart" corrects this.

I have just recently installed Kubuntu and started using Kmail.

[kmail2] [Bug 363723] Kmail crashes when "Server supports sieve" enabled

I was bitten by this because Debian testing is still using Kmail 16.04.3. I can
confirm, that setting SieveSupport=false manually in config file for the
corresponding resource helped to work around it.

[kmail2] [Bug 317803] Kmail2 renders colors based on the user system colors rather than the default colors browsers use.

2017-09-07 Thread Andras
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=317803

Same here, It's really messed up with dark themes like breeze-dark. Dark text
on dark background and white on white, etc. I also had theme issue with
Thunderbird and Firefox but it's easy to fix with their own dark themes and
"apply colors to non-qt app" unchecked or with css configuration. I think KMail
should work out of the box with all KDE Plasma settings as a QT application.

The crash is in the QtWebEngine libraries. If this is reproducible, please
install debug symbols for all QtWebEngine packages, and report the updated
backtrace directly to Qt developers via https://bugreports.qt.io/

Do you know if that version also addresses the "Retrieving Folder Contents"
lockup?

[Akonadi] [Bug 384359] Regression in 5.6.0 / 17.08 compared to 17.04.3: MySQL load always 100%, constant queries, extremely sluggisch behaviour

Not quite sure if really IMAP ressource is the culprit, but I think so.

How can I find out who or what is triggering all those (slow) queries?

Created attachment 107732
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=107732&action=edit
Screenshot Akonadiconsole Query Sequence Debugger

The query debugger query sequence view "nicely" illustrates the problem:
The second query is very slow with 650 ms execution time per call, and uses
most of the processing time.

The sum shown as "TOTAL" basically resembles wall clock time, as Akonadi loads
the CPU 100% (actually mysqld).

This never seems to finish, at least it ran for lots of hours several times,
before I finally terminated it using "akonadictl stop".

[kmail2] [Bug 384464] New: Message window does not display Chinese characters

2017-09-07 Thread Metko
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384464

Bug ID: 384464
Summary: Message window does not display Chinese characters
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.6.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: UI
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: metkome...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Chinese characters are not displayed in KMail's message window. I tried all
possible encodings (from the display menu) and different fonts, in particular
Chinese character fonts that display alright in every other KDE application.

Whe I answer the email, the cited text looks correct, so it's a problem of the
message viewer only (and not the composer window).

You can replicate it by sending yourself a message with some Chinese characters
from a webpage, for example.

I have the same problem: Kmail>Compose>Select "It" starts loading my address
books and then - crash - and bug report dialog box. I just added a new contact.
I don't think it was happening before that. I have a backtrace but don't see
how to attach it. Would you like me to file a separate bug report?
