[kmail2] [Bug 393451] New: drag a mail into folder tree shows possibility to drop between folders
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393451 Bug ID: 393451 Summary: drag a mail into folder tree shows possibility to drop between folders Product: kmail2 Version: Git (master) Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: folders Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: kol...@aon.at Target Milestone: --- When I drag a mail from the message list to the folder tree, the drag operation shows me also a drop possibility (via a black line) *between* folders. That does not make sense. A mail will always be dropped only *into* a folder. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[kleopatra] [Bug 393447] Kleopatra uses current directory of parent process
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393447 Andre Heinecke changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |CONFIRMED Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #1 from Andre Heinecke --- Good point. For Windows it would be a good idea if Kleopatra would change the working directory on start to a generic location e.g. the users Home Dir. We have other processes like gpg-agent we do this exactly for the reason you mention. ( https://dev.gnupg.org/T2670 ) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

[kmail2] [Bug 393421] No ability to hide the HTML Message Status Bar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393421 --- Comment #11 from Jani-Matti Hätinen --- If you're worried that new users won't be able to switch between HTML and non-HTML message views (a feature, which no one uses btw) make the HTML status bar visible by default and add a comment to the configuration page about the lost functionality if the bar is disabled. Simply forcing the bar on all users does absolutely nothing to promote said functionality. 99,5% of Kmail users are old users. Quit messing around with their settings. We've set it up the way we like it, and we know what we've done and why. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[kleopatra] [Bug 393447] New: Kleopatra uses current directory of parent process
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393447 Bug ID: 393447 Summary: Kleopatra uses current directory of parent process Product: kleopatra Version: 3.1.0 Platform: Other OS: MS Windows Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: aheine...@intevation.de Reporter: chrischa...@gmx.us CC: kdepim-bugs@kde.org, m...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- When Kleopatra is opened (if it is not already running in the background) it will have its current directory (working directory) typically set to that of its parent process. This means that, for example, if I open a file associated with Kleopatra from Explorer, and if Kleopatra is not already running in the background, then Kleopatra will open and perform any operations on the file, and stay open in the background when finished. However, Kleopatra's current directory will be set to the directory the file was in, even after it is finished with the file. In turn, this leads to issues such as when launching Kleopatra by clicking a file on a removable disk, and letting Kleopatra stay open after it finishes, then Windows will complain that the "device is currently in use" if I try ejecting the disk, since there is still an open handle to a directory on the disk, and even though the Kleopatra has closed any handles to the file I opened. I'm not sure what the general advice or trends are regarding which working directory a program should use. I'm just under the impression it isn't necessary for a program like Kleopatra to need to use the parent process' current directory since it doesn't appear to affect functionality. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

[kmail2] [Bug 393421] No ability to hide the HTML Message Status Bar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393421 --- Comment #5 from Cristian Adam --- I have found a partial workaround – namely changing the background color of the HTML Status Bar. This can be done in Settings -> Configure KMail -> Appearance -> Colors. I have used "#fcfcfc" for all four "HTML Status Bar" entries. Not the status bar is still eating valuable screen width, but at least is not an eye sore anymore. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[kmail2] [Bug 393421] No ability to hide the HTML Message Status Bar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393421 --- Comment #4 from PK --- Kmail is growing into a real quality application that looks good too. But now the beautiful looks are being hit by this html-status-bar that makes a lot of noise about (in my opinion) not so much. If someone finds the message of the bar important that's ok. But I find it more important that kmail is comforting to the eyes. And is is! I would very much appreciate to have the opportunity to not see this laud bar. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[kmail2] [Bug 393421] No ability to hide the HTML Message Status Bar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393421 --- Comment #3 from Cristian Adam --- What do you mean by "you can't to disable it as new user didn't know this feature." ? As a user I don't need to switch between HTML and plain-text. I really do care about the vertical space used by the bar, so I need that bar gone.
