[akregator] [Bug 399570] Akregator crashes after clicking on link in an open tab

2019-03-19 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=399570

Just to add an observation-

I find that I am much less likely to crash Akregator if I *always* right-click
any link that I encounter and hit open in new tab.

Note that the option configure->browser->"open links in new tab instead of new
window" doesn't help; I have to right-click -> new tab every time.

But this helps keep Akregator running for me.

2019-03-19 Thread Florian Evers

I'm working with Gentoo Linux and today I updated to qt* 5.12 with
qtwebengine-5.12.2. I confirm that both print preview and printing work again
after updating to Qt version 5.12.

BTW:
- kde-apps 18.12.3
- kde-frameworks 5.56.0
- kde-plasma 5.15.3

Regards,
Florian

bug 262271 looks similar to me. Either way, it's an old bug that basically
ruins user experience : browsing and reading feeds should be a easy task, only
basic functionalities are needed.
With akregator this simple task turns into a daily fight to get a chronological
list of articles. Ultimately that defeats the purpose of feed reader.

It does, however, if using the NVidia binary blob (390xx for me).
