[kaddressbook] [Bug 407666] New: Dial phone number with tel:// and sms:// via xdg

2019-05-17 Thread John Scott
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407666

Bug ID: 407666
Summary: Dial phone number with tel:// and sms:// via xdg
   Product: kaddressbook
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Debian testing
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: jsc...@posteo.net
CC: to...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Support for dialing phone numbers from contacts is handled in the Configure
dialog, choosing a program such as Ekiga or Skype. With KDE Connect's tel://
URL handler, most programs on my system can tell my phone to dial a number this
way without extra configuration, including Firefox and Okular.

KAddressBook is an exception, because it seems to require its own configuration
for setting how to dial a number instead of using the mechanism these other
programs utilize.

[kmail2] [Bug 407663] New: Share file via email from Dolphin fails if Kmail is not running

not running
   Product: kmail2
   Version: Git (master)
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal

  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: hel...@gerloni.net
  Target Milestone: ---

When trying to share a file via email from Dolphin the composer windows does
not show up when Kmail is not running.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Right click on a file in Dolphin,
2. then click on Share -> Send via Email...

A small grey & empty window pops up for a few milliseconds, Kmail seems to
start in the background (jumping mail icon near the mouse pointer and Kmail
entry in the panel show up).

OBSERVED RESULT
If Kmail is not running nothing more happens.

EXPECTED RESULT
If Kmail is running, a mail compositor window opens with the file attached to a
new mail.

Always reproducible in current KDE Neon (kmail
4:19.04.1+p18.04+git20190516.0502-0) and Debian Buster (Testing).

So it sends all the time info on server, but when we use not local the number
of sending message is limited.

But in kmail we have sonnet which will override LT changes.

I confirm that in composer option "grammar checking" selection is not recorded.

After checking "grammar checking" all the text is checked. Good.
But if you keep on typing your message there is not more grammar checking.
You must unselect then select "grammar checking" to get a checking of the new
text!

"It works fine" if you know how to use it!

I use LT with Chrome, Firefox, LibreOffice. The way to use LT is very
different:

- Grammar checking works automatically as I am typing.

- I must not, at the end of typing my text, ask for grammar checking of all the
text with an option in a contextual menu.

- There is not a second window which is a copy of my mail.

It's not handy. The way to use LT must be the same way as Chrome, Firefox,
LibreOffice.

I don't understand your problem as it works fine here.
