KAlarm now checks at startup for duplicate resources (i.e. which use the same
calendar file), and removes any that it finds. The only way that the situation
which you report should now be able to arise is if a duplicate resource is
manually created (e.g. with akonadiconsole) while KAlarm is running, in which
case restarting KAlarm would fix it.

Fixed by commit b814c1a1f678b7585ec778e40b935690bcafe2d5, in KAlarm version
2.12.5, which will be in the KDE Applications 19.08.0 release.

I am not convinced this (ie my bug entry 410027 being recorded as a duplicate
of this bug) is correct.

I am not trying to set up a new account. The account has been set up for years,
and KMail has been functioning perfectly well accessing it until recently.

It may be that the cause is the same, though.

So bwl what is your story? Apart from that you are using openSUSE Tumbelweed
etc?
If i had to take a gamble I would say that you can't (again) setup a Gmail
account in Kmail.
At least that is at the moment my problem.
I am using Debian (bullseye) testing. Plasma 5.14.5.
The issue, dating from march 2019, repeats itself. I get the same error message
from Google and my gmail-account is not set up in Kmail.

[Akonadi] [Bug 409234] akonadi with qt5 5.13 is unable to initialize database when using the PostgreSQL backend

2019-07-26 Thread Daniel Vrátil
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409234

Git commit 8b8db29d10b2ef92deb2d87ff613f3d7f39af34e by Daniel Vrátil.
Committed on 26/07/2019 at 11:32.
Pushed by dvratil into branch 'Applications/19.04'.

Fix compatibility with QMYSQL driver after 74aed95

Summary:
QPSQL requires the table name passed to QSqlDatabase::record() to be lowercase
since Qt 5.13, but doing that breaks QMYSQL, so only adjust the name when
using QPSQL.
