Yup - I could have made that clearer. I mentioned the "other bug" just to
help prioritize this bug, as "my bug" annihilates the only workaround.

> I'll reopen your report then (you should have been able to do that
yourself
btw... ;-) )
I didn't know that I could do that. But let me take this opportunity to
say that here my ignorance is really bliss, as this ignorance stems from
having to file KDE bug reports only VERY rarely (once in several years as a
moderate user), which, and that cannot be stressed enough, is a darn good
thing!!!

Apparently this is not a duplicate (as it is about not being able to change the
settings, not about the authentification itself), sorry.

Just a note from my side though: 5.7.3 is quite old already, the latest version
is 5.11.3 (with 5.12.0 being released next week).
So maybe it might be worth to try a later version, if possible.

I see, so your bug report actually was about not being able to change the
settings, which of course is not a duplicate of this.
I'll reopen your report then (you should have been able to do that yourself
btw... ;-) )

see the choices for when to remind again of this appointment:
there are two options that I would like to see in korganizer:
"5 minutes before the appointment starts" and "0 hours before the appointment
starts".

[korganizer] [Bug 410758] New: Cannot change timing for single occurrence

2019-08-09 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410758

Bug ID: 410758
Summary: Cannot change timing for single occurrence
   Product: korganizer
   Version: 5.11.3
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: critical
  Priority: NOR
 Component: recurrence
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: isaacson31...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Dragging a single occurrence of a repeating event brings up the dialog to
change for 'Only This Item', but when this is selected, nothing happens. The
event reverts to the same time as all other occurrences of the event.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a recurring event
2. Drag one occurrence to a different time, select 'Only this Item in the
dialog box

OBSERVED RESULT
No change in the item timing

EXPECTED RESULT
The single occurrence should move to the location it's dragged to

Really I don't understand your problem we can do it currently.

Could you add screenshot where you configure it on korganizer and outlook
please.

So I will perhaps understand your pb.

Thanks

[korganizer] [Bug 410752] New: korganizer should use "better" intervals for reminders

2019-08-09 Thread Mathias Homann
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410752

Bug ID: 410752
Summary: korganizer should use "better" intervals for reminders
   Product: korganizer
   Version: 5.11.3
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: reminder daemon (korgac)
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: mathias.hom...@opensuse.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

the current intervals for reminding you of appointments are less than useful

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. create a calendar entry with a reminder in the future
2. wait for the reminder
3. try to postpone the reminder to another point in the future

OBSERVED RESULT

you can choose reminders after any free time period which means you actually
have to do the math to figure out what to put in - also, to postpone a reminder
that was set to "15 minutes before the event" to "remind again in 48 hours" is
pretty crazy.

EXPECTED RESULT
I would prefer the same kind of reminder intervals that for example outlook
has:

"5 minutes before the event", "when the event starts", and the current free
form but not as "in X {minutes|hours|days}" but as " {minutes|hours|days}
before the event starts"
