[kmail2] [Bug 416837] New: LetsEncrypt: The server failed the authenticity check

2020-01-27 Thread Alexander
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=416837

Bug ID: 416837
Summary: LetsEncrypt: The server failed the authenticity check
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.13.1
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: kos...@koshka.ddns.net
  Target Milestone: ---

I have kind of my own email server. It uses letsenctypt certificates.
Usually I check and send my mail using Thunderbird and have no problems, but I
tried to use Kmail because it is better integrated into DE.

I get email without problems but I am unable to send an email.
I get error: "The server failed the authenticity check (koshka.ddns.net).
The issuer certificate of a locally looked up certificate could not be found
No certificates could be verified"

Affects Akonadi 19.08.3 on Debian unstable. I worked around by making the
appropriate entry with KWalletManager, though this would surely not be useful
for anyone using OAuth2.

[Akonadi] [Bug 386010] KMail2 fails to archive folder

2020-01-27 Thread Thorsten Otto
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=386010

And why did nobody ask for missing information 2 years ago?

And you still don't get the point. Its not about why some mail cannot be
retrieved. Its about that the archiving process is completely aborted. That
makes it impossible to get at least some kind of backup.

So, you had 2 years to try moving messages in other folders and test in order
to provide useful information that would help identify the issue but didn't do
anything, and only 2 years later you mention the error you're seeing when
trying to reproduce.

That's like calling your doctor to tell you're ill without mentioning any
symptom.
