Works fine here, can you run under valgrind to see if you get any interesting
log?

[kmail2] [Bug 419753] New: Kmail does not use "Importance" header field for incoming mail

2020-04-06 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419753

Bug ID: 419753
Summary: Kmail does not use "Importance" header field for
incoming mail
   Product: kmail2
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: mull...@adelie.io
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

When an "urgent" message is set for outgoing mail, Kmail successfully sets the
"Importance" header field to "high". However, for incoming mail, Kmail does
not make use of this flag. Probably, incoming email with an header flag
"Importance: high" set should flag the email as important within Kmail.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Receive an email flagged as important OR send mail to account with "urgent"
option set.
2. View received email in Kmail.
3. Observe lack of importance.

OBSERVED RESULT

Emails are not displayed any differently than those with a normal importance
header field (or missing importance header field).

EXPECTED RESULT

"Important" flag set within Kmail.

Find Messages dialogue screen shot

SUMMARY
The message status filter reads "message status" for all fields. Only the icon
gives a hint of what is actually meant. Using such a filter does not work. E.g.
using "action item" entry, will show mails even without an action item marker.
Re-opening the "Find Messages" dialogue seems to reset the selection in the
drop down to the first entry.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open "Find Messages"
2. select "Message Status"
3. select type "[action item icon] message status" entry

OBSERVED RESULT
Mails without action item marker are included in the result

EXPECTED RESULT
Only mails with action item marker should be included in the result

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0
Qt Version: 5.14.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Saved filters seem to work fine. I have an old filter which is searching for
"important" mails that is still working.

Now, there's only one (have four on kmail) email address concerned by the
password login, always the same, and the password (selected) is already in the
box window, just have to confirm (?) !
For a long time i was not able to send messages until i saw that in kmail >
configuration > counts > send > select the smtp send count (by default) "server
ask for authentication" was not selected and the boxes were not filled ! After
regularize that, i could send messages ! Many years i'm using kmail and i don't
understand why all these issues, why authentication field had change "without"
any intervention of us on kmail !
I don't know if it is a bug or else !

Error popups - they appear at one place, I have moved them so all are visible

SUMMARY

I am a part of shared Google calendar, and I added that calendar to KOrganizer.
Three times so far, I saw a bunch of popups, saying "Error while trying to
delete calendar item. Error was: No items found". I was not using Korganizer at
that time, it was running in the background. I have Korganizer connected to the
calendar widget in my panel, but I did not open that widget today. The deleting
happened last october, then on 2020-03-24, and again today (2020-04-06).

When checking the calendar bin through the webpage, I see that KOrganizer
successfully deleted some of the events. The events are only from said shared
calendar - none of my individual events are affected. Also, the deleted events
have nothing in common. They are in the future, in the past, they may or may
not belong to the same "recurring event" group, I may be going, I may not be
going, I may not be invited. In October, about 30 events were affected, last
month it was a little less.

When it happened for the second time, I asked to have my write access to the
calendar revoked. This was a good step, because today, no events were actually
removed - I only see the popups as usual, and permission issues in the log.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. I have no idea how to reproduce this, I am terribly sorry. A colleague said
today she was changing something in the calendar before KOrganizer went crazy.
I have no idea if someone was interacting with the calendar in the two previous
cases.

OBSERVED RESULT

When working on the computer (korganizer is not even open), suddenly popups
appear, saying that events could not be deleted (I didn't ask for any deletes).
In the google calendar bin online, I can see the affected events (or nothing,
if my write access was revoked), and I can restore the items manually.

EXPECTED RESULT

There are other poeple's events being deleted in the background, by my
computer, without my permission. I don't want to have events deleted without my
explicit request for it.

macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.5.13-1-MANJARO

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

When writing this report, I noticed that the dates of the issue (October,
03-24) match the switch in daylight saving time - so it could be caused by time
issues? Today morning, I restarted from windows, and this moves my system
clock, so I had to move the system time oen hour backward after that.

Since only one attachment can be added, this is the journalctl from today
(changed event names to something more descriptive)

Problem still there.

In description forget "If you add group in "personal contacts" then no
problem."

Rarely sometime there is no problem. Mail is sent without any problem.
