[kmail2] [Bug 421173] New: Removal of e-mail attachments without removing entire e-mail
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=421173 Bug ID: 421173 Summary: Removal of e-mail attachments without removing entire e-mail Product: kmail2 Version: 5.11.0 Platform: Mageia RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: commands and actions Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: ole.reier.ull...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY A few years ago it was possible to remove an attached file from an e-mail without removing the entire e-mail. That is no longer possible. That is so extremely impractical to me that I have attempted to migrate to an other e-mail client, but I came up short. If you are not willing to fix this, that I find to be a major bug in KMail, please tell me of a way to migrate all my e-mails to an other e-mail client. # uname -a Linux HP-Compaq 5.5.9-desktop-1.mga7 #1 SMP Thu Mar 12 08:02:44 UTC 2020 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux KDE Plasma Version: It should have been on top of the start menu. [kmail2] [Bug 421172] New: Folder column width out of control
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=421172 Bug ID: 421172 Summary: Folder column width out of control Product: kmail2 Version: 5.11.0 Platform: Mageia RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: folders Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: ole.reier.ull...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY In KMail on the left side, for e-mail folders, I have three columns, Name, Total and Size. Somehow the size column has become extremely wide, I am talking about many many display widths, I strongly suspect by ifself. The same happens sometimes when I start KMail to a smaller extent by itself in the right section also where the e-mails are. There I can just drag the column more narrow so it can be contained on the display. But for the left section that does not work. # uname -a Linux HP-Compaq 5.5.9-desktop-1.mga7 #1 SMP Thu Mar 12 08:02:44 UTC 2020 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux KDE Plasma Version: It should have been on top of the start menu. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add a calendar event scheduled e.g. 1h41m in the future to Kontact and enable the Upcoming Events component on the summary page 2. Wait a few minutes, keeping the summary page open OBSERVED RESULT The summary page still says "in 1 hr 41 mins", not the correct, updated time. Switching away (e.g. to the mail page) and back to the summary page displays the correct time. [korganizer] [Bug 418811] Events stored in the database not displayed in KOrganizer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=418811 Rigo Wenning changed: What|Removed |Added CC||r...@w3.org --- Comment #1 from Rigo Wenning --- Confirming here. I also had this, when a calendar invite was recorded into the calendar by some other tool (nextcloud for me) and I did not use kontact to record the invite. But the invitation email was still present in the system. Now accepting the invite also in kontact made the entry appear in korganizer. But I now have an even stranger issue: There is a recurring event. The date of the event was changed, so I changed "this instance" from 14 May to 07 May. First, the event disappeared completely, but showed up in akonadiconsole correctly (07 May). As this is a nextcloud calendar, I used my browser in nextcloud to change the event. Now the event shows up correctly in the nextcloud browser and on my mobile phone and in akonadiconsole. But it did not show up in kontact/korganizer. But then (after some fsck & restart) BIG surprise, the entry shows up on 11 May and, when opened, says 07 May. This looks pretty strange IMHO. Why would an event show up on 11 May when the entry correctly says 07 May? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[kmail2] [Bug 362650] an extra space character in attached file names the UTF-8 encoded
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362650 xchain changed: What|Removed |Added Ever confirmed|0 |1 Status|NEEDSINFO |CONFIRMED Resolution|WAITINGFORINFO |--- --- Comment #14 from xchain --- Thanks! With your test case it's much easier to reproduce the bug. Findings: - When hovering over the filename, the statusbar does _not_ show any spaces. - Saving a single attachment or all attachments at once also does _not_ result in any spaces. - Everything inside QWebEngine's view incorrectly shows spaces for the first attachment, but not for the second. Spaces are also present when selecting and copying the text. - When saving the files, attaching them to a new mail in KMail and saving as a draft, everything works fine when viewing the result. Thus KMail only has problems understanding the filename format created in Thunderbird. So, in general this should work now (certainly better than in 2016), but there are still some viewing-related cases for mails created in e.g. Thunderbird where this is still broken. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
