I am unable to reproduce this on the latest akregator from git master.

Can you please retest and confirm if this is still an issue for you, thanks.

This makes sense, you're resetting the whole search bar, not just the content
but the filter as well.

If you think this should be different I'll happily change this to a wishlist
item and perhaps a more fine-grained configuration setting can be implemented.

Confirmed on akgregator from git master. The only option is blinding white.

It follows Breeze Dark theme colours for the rest of the app, just not the

I've just tested and selecting multiple articles will result in the last one
highlighted being displayed correctly.

As for keyboard navigation it can still be done with left/right arrow keys or
n/p for the left subscription list.

As for the mouse use I'm not able to select multiple articles with a rectangle
drawn over them so this may need to be investigated. If this is still important
to you please create a new bug report as it's a separate issue, thanks.

If you are happy I can set this to resolved if the E > B selection issue is
resolved for you as well.

[korganizer] [Bug 428818] New: gdbus calls don't update ui appropriately, event not created on selected date

2020-11-07 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=428818

Bug ID: 428818
Summary: gdbus calls don't update ui appropriately, event not
created on selected date
   Product: korganizer
   Version: 5.15.3
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: d...@rhoatech.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I'm attempting to use some gdbus calls for initiating the new event dialog on a
specific date. The UI does not update when launched with some gdbus calls, and
openEventEditor does not create a new event on the selected date.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Launch korganizer with:

$ gdbus call --session --dest=org.kde.korganizer --object-path=/Calendar
--method=org.kde.Korganizer.Calendar.goDate "(2020,12,31)" && gdbus call
--session --dest=org.kde.korganizer --object-path=/Calendar
--method=org.kde.Korganizer.Calendar.openEventEditor

OBSERVED RESULT
Korganizer launches, New event dialog is shown. New event is created on current
date (not selected date), Month view is not showing the correct Month from the
date selected.

EXPECTED RESULT
Korganizer launches with the correct date selected, with the Month view updated
accordingly. New event dialog has the date set to the selected date.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.75.0
Qt Version: 5.15.1
Kernel Version: 5.9.3-zen1-1-zen
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz
Memory: 31.3 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: GeForce GTX 1080 Ti/PCIe/SSE2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I'm working on adding a feature to a calendar widget that will allow the user
double-click a date in the widget, and launch korganizer to create an event on
that date.

If there is a better method for launching the new event dialog from gdbus or
something else, please let me know.

I was experiencing this issue on master one or two weeks ago.
I only had one google account set up, however I installed a quadriboot recently
and haven't managed to test this further yet with Plasma from master. I'll test
this weekend and report back.

I also suspect this was an issue with KWallet, because my account was
recognized and worked correctly as usual with KMail2/Kontact on openSUSE
Krypton for at least half a year or so without issues.

In my case, it was reproducible every time my system came back from sleep or
everytime after login.

Ivan, is there anything noteworthy being shown in journalctl -b /usr/bin/kmail
/usr/bin/akonadiserver /usr/bin/akonadi_google_resource /usr/bin/kwalletd5 ?

For debugging akonadi issues, there's also akonadiconsole, but that one I don't
know how to use.

Git commit c5fa8cc88a1fc2df46dac279ba6b3b5edfd553bb by Ahmad Samir.
Committed on 07/11/2020 at 19:10.
Pushed by ahmadsamir into branch 'master'.

SmtpJob: Fix crash in startLoginJob

- The user tries to connect to an smtp server, the password dialog is shown
starting a nested eventloop with exec()
- the connection is lost, the smtpjob is killed (due to connect() in
startSmtpJob)
- the dialog::exec returns, and the code tries to setError(KilledJobError)
on an already killed job which leads to a crash

fix the issue by using QDialog::open() to make the code async.

Alright it asked me now 3 times to access the wallet after restart and I chose
"Always allow". I will see if that will make any difference from now on. It
should never ask me again about it, if it does work.

But still, this isn't quite logical for new users. This app should work out of
the box. The only settings I expect(ed) from the mail program is to set the
mail parameters and once set, to be done.

Here I had kmail -> akonadi -> kwallet in the play and I had to reset akonadi 3
times and start over again and STILL had those popups every now and then.
The only thing that kept me going was the urge to use the official KDE mail
app. If I was the average Joe I'd use Thunderbird without thinking twice, esp.
with these kind of stuff.

I'm sorry I'm not following you - do I have to have Access control enabled or
not?

Because it wasn't enabled. I enabled it now, even though there isn't a single

if something changed.

I will screenshot it when it happens.

[korganizer] [Bug 412722] KOrganizer does not show events from EWS resource

Are there any news here?

I'm experiencing exactly the same issue, using KOrganizer with davmail.
As for Martin Höher, everything works properly, except events created by other
users (that I accepted). Note that exactly the same davmail setting using
Thunderbird Lightning as a client works perfectly, so that's definitely related
to akonadi/KOrganizer.

My configuration is the following:
- Archlinux with kernel 5.9.4-arch1-1
- Korganizer 5.15.3 (20.08.3)
- Davmail 5.5.1
- The EWS resource is an Office 365 account.

I'm not used to debugging KDE applications, but I would be very happy to help
in any way if you can give me some indications.
