[kmail2] [Bug 388429] kmail lost the ability to edit messages
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=388429 m...@bearsh.org changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |WORKSFORME Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED --- Comment #5 from m...@bearsh.org --- (In reply to me from comment #4) > In the Sent folder, only 'send again' (maybe the wording is > different, I don't have an English version running) is possible. I just noticed that clicking that 'send again' option just launches the message editor. So it's basically the same as 'edit message as new' but uses another name for sent messages. So I'll close this bug... (In my opinion, having to different names for basically the same action is from a user point of view not ideal. But maybe there are valid reasons to do so. If this should be changed, someone should open a dedicated bug) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=395085 John Apple II changed: What|Removed |Added CC||jappl...@redhat.com --- Comment #4 from John Apple II --- I'll add that I'm having this issue currently - but the odd thing is it occurs when I send an email to a mail group of which I am a member. The strange thing is that the email in my sent folders shows a good key signature with the exact Key fingerprint, but when I send an e-mail in reply to a cloud provider (where my team is contacted via a mail group) and the email shows back up in my inbox, the signature is showing invalid with the exact same Key fingerprint. Both were sent via Kmail this morning using the exact same key. First message in "Sent": Message was signed by jappl...@redhat.com (Key ID: 0x928F06C71B1C271C). The signature is valid and the key is fully trusted. Second message in "Inbox": Message was signed with unknown key 0x928F06C71B1C271C. The validity of the signature cannot be verified. Status: Bad signature However, all of the signatures show clean in Thunderbird for both emails. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=399715 Knut Hildebrandt changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|WAITINGFORINFO |--- Status|NEEDSINFO |REPORTED --- Comment #4 from Knut Hildebrandt --- The problem still exists. Even though I selected: 1. Settings/Configure KMail -> Security -> Reading -> "Prefer HTML to plain text" is off 2. Settings/Configure KMail -> Composer -> General -> "Reply or forward using the same visual format as original message (plain text or HTML" is off all new messages as well as replies and forwards have the same format as the last message edited. If Options/Rich text editing: - was On -> next message will be HTML - was Off -> next message will be plain text. What I wish would be a "general setting" that overwrites everything and makes all messages regardless if "new", forwarded or a reply by default "plain text". Would expect such a setting next to this one: - Settings/Configure KMail -> Composer -> General -> "Reply or forward using the same visual format as original message (plain text or HTML" It could look like this: - Settings/Configure KMail -> Composer -> General -> "Make new messages HTML (plain text is default)" And the setting if replies or forward should have the same format as the original message, should be respected what it right now is not. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[kdepim] [Bug 406839] EMails stuck in outgoing forever without warning msg
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406839 Fabian Vogt changed: What|Removed |Added Latest Commit|https://invent.kde.org/pim/ |https://invent.kde.org/pim/ |libkgapi/commit/d677a08c21f |kmailtransport/commit/7b2a5 |d99e7e8be0a0899f797f9237207 |ccea0c54b81245acdbbea77a13e |e4 |570bba2b --- Comment #2 from Fabian Vogt --- Git commit 7b2a5ccea0c54b81245acdbbea77a13e570bba2b by Fabian Vogt. Committed on 01/12/2022 at 12:12. Pushed by fvogt into branch 'release/22.12'. SmtpJob: Fix use of KCompositeJob SmtpJob overrides slotResult, but this had two issues. First, it connected to LoginJob::result itself, though addJob already does that. Second, in two cases it did not remove finished jobs from the list of subjobs, leading to dangling pointers and messing up state. This was most likely only reached in the case of an expired XOAUTH2 access_token and caused the job to fail after a successful refresh.
