This is because malformed data is sent, this is the reply from the server (you
should set QT_LOGGING_RULES="*org.kde.pim.ews.client.proto*.debug=true" to have
it dumped somewhere):

http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/";>http://schemas.microsoft.com/exchange/services/2006/types";>a:ErrorInvalidOperationId is malformed.http://schemas.microsoft.com/exchange/services/2006/errors";>ErrorInvalidOperationhttp://schemas.microsoft.com/exchange/services/2006/errors";>Id is
malformed.

I haven't found a way to debug *why* it's invalid.

Hi,
kmail uses kfiledialog we don't provide it.
=> it's not a kmail bug.
Regards

[kmail2] [Bug 486796] New: Tiny dialog to attach files

2024-05-08 Thread Grósz Dániel
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=486796

Bug ID: 486796
Summary: Tiny dialog to attach files
Classification: Applications
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 6.0.2
  Platform: openSUSE
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: composer
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: groszdaniel...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 169328
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=169328&action=edit
Screenshot

SUMMARY
Since (I think) the switch to KMail 6.x, the file dialog to attach files in the
composer is sized weirdly by default, to the dialog's minimum allowed size (see
screenshot). After resizing it, it behaves normally. It doesn't happen with
other file dialogs, not even other file dialogs in KMail, such as the one to
save attachments. (The screenshot shows the Plastik style and Kontact, but it
happens with Breeze and KMail too. KWin rules can't be the culprit either, I've
tried with a separate user with no rules.)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start writing an e-mail.
2. Click the toolbar button/press the shortcut to attach a file.

OBSERVED RESULT
The Attach File dialog is small, with the list of files invisible.

EXPECTED RESULT
The Attach File dialog has a normal size.

[kmail2] [Bug 486773] New: KMail hogs 1 cpu core trying to display a message

2024-05-08 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=486773

Bug ID: 486773
Summary: KMail hogs 1 cpu core trying to display a message
Classification: Applications
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.22.3
  Platform: Debian testing
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: tnem...@free.fr
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 169308
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=169308&action=edit
Bzip'ed mail causing 100% cpu usage on 1 core.

SUMMARY

A friend of mine sent me a mail because he needed help writing a shell script.
Just displaying his mail in the
message viewer part or message viewer window takes 1 cpu core (100% cpu usage
on that core). Changing
the view to another mail makes the cpu usage go back to normal.

What I found strange is that even though I've often received mails from gmail
(since he's at gmail), I've never
faced such a behavior. I suspect it comes from how the mail is formatted. Maybe
its size (12MB !) but not sure.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the mail in kmail
2. Look at the CPU usage

OBSERVED RESULT
Usage of one of the CPU core is at 100% by kmail.

EXPECTED RESULT
CPU usage should not be at 100% when displaying a mail :)
