[Akonadi] [Bug 375102] New: New OAuth configuration is spooky.

2017-01-15 Thread Alex Fiestas
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375102

Bug ID: 375102
Summary: New OAuth configuration is spooky.
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: IMAP resource
  Assignee: chrig...@fastmail.fm
  Reporter: afies...@kde.org
CC: kdepim-bugs@kde.org, vkra...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Hi

After upgrading to latest git I encountered two dialogs loading a website that
said Google and asked me for my credentials.

It is awesome that support for oauth is finally there but the dialog is really
spooky because the url is not shown, I can't see if it is using SSL or not,
etc.

I guess this is an error in akonadi libs but it might be KMail doing an async
use of them as well...

These are some backtraces of a gdb attached to a KMail with a complete frozen
GUI.

[kontact] [Bug 331091] New: Crashes when marking as read folders too fast

2014-02-13 Thread Alex Fiestas
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331091

Bug ID: 331091
Summary: Crashes when marking as read folders too fast
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kontact
   Version: 4.13 pre
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: afies...@kde.org

Application: kontact (4.13 pre)
KDE Platform Version: 4.12.60 (Compiled from sources)
Qt Version: 4.8.6
Operating System: Linux 3.13.2-2-ARCH x86_64
Distribution: "Arch Linux"

-- Information about the crash:
There are a few mailing list I mark as read after reading all the subjects of
the unread emails (since that's the only part I'm interested about). If I mark
as read too many folders fast enough kontact will crash.

The crash can be reproduced sometimes.

[kmail2] [Bug 323724] New: Getting spammed with wrong notifications

2013-08-19 Thread Alex Fiestas
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=323724

Bug ID: 323724
Summary: Getting spammed with wrong notifications
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: unspecified
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: afies...@kde.org

i'm checking out an new account in akonadi, I'm getting spammed with
notifications kinda "350 new emails in kde-plasma-devel" for emails that are
not new (years old) and that are marked as read.

Imho the notifier should be changed so it only notifies moderated new emails
and unread.

Reproducible: Always

New crash information added by DrKonqi

kontact (4.11 pre) on KDE Platform 4.10.60 using Qt 4.8.4

Pretty much like the other commend, after marking as read a few folders it
crashed.

[Bug 296949] New: Change folder list shown columns

2012-03-28 Thread Alex Fiestas
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=296949

Bug ID: 296949
  Severity: normal
   Version: 4.8
  Priority: NOR
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
Summary: Change folder list shown columns
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: afies...@kde.org
  Hardware: Other
Status: NEW
 Component: UI
   Product: kmail2

Hi

The list that show all folders by default has enabled all columns, which are:
Unread
Total
Size

All of them can be hidden by default in my humble opinion, he only important
one is "Unread" but we already have a fallback method in case that the column
is hidden showing the number of unread emails just after the folder name (as
many other modern email client do).

[Bug 296944] New: Possible data loss if the destination folder doesn't exists

2012-03-28 Thread Alex Fiestas
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=296944

Bug ID: 296944
  Severity: critical
   Version: 4.8
  Priority: NOR
CC: kdepim-bugs@kde.org, vkra...@kde.org
  Assignee: to...@kde.org
Summary: Possible data loss if the destination folder doesn't
exists
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: afies...@kde.org
  Hardware: Other
Status: NEW
 Component: Contacts resource
   Product: Akonadi

If for some reason (like what seems a bug in the distribution) the destination
folder does not exists, KaddressBook (and the resource) will allow the creation
of contacts and they will be stored in the akonadi cache.

Akonadi won't be able to synchronize the data since the folder does not exits
in case that something happens to the mysql databse (or in case that we change
to another database) we will suffer data loss :/

Maybe we should turn the resource offline in case that the folder does not
exists or force the user to select another folder.
