[Bug 240266] New: Kontact doesn't complain when login to imap server doesn't work
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=240266 Summary: Kontact doesn't complain when login to imap server doesn't work Product: kontact Version: 4.4.3 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: mail AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: chris-hartm...@gmx.de Version: 4.4.3 (using KDE 4.4.3) OS:Linux I use Kontact with both IMAP and dIMAP accounts. Some time ago I changed my password on the server and today I used another pc where the old password was stored, but kontact didn't show me a message that it couldn't log in to the server. It was just quiet. Same thing happened to me with the connection method. Another mail-provider changed its server settings and doesn't allow tls-connections anymore but ssl-connections. Again there was no error message that the login didn't work. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Change server settings back to something that doesn't work (e.g. tls) and try to fetch new mail Actual Results: No new mail appears, no error message Expected Results: Message should pop up and tell the user about the error -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
