[Bug 131890] Empty All Trash Folders On Exit

--- Comment #4 from Christian Hartmann chris-hartmann gmx de 2010-09-05

I see only empty LOCAL trash folder on program exit. But it should empty also
the remote ones on IMAP-accounts.

I'm using 4.5.1 with kmail 1.13.5.

[Bug 240266] New: Kontact doesn't complain when login to imap server doesn't work

2010-05-31 Thread Christian Hartmann
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=240266

Summary: Kontact doesn't complain when login to imap server
doesn't work
   Product: kontact
   Version: 4.4.3
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: mail
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: chris-hartm...@gmx.de

Version: 4.4.3 (using KDE 4.4.3)
OS:Linux

I use Kontact with both IMAP and dIMAP accounts. Some time ago I changed my
password on the server and today I used another pc where the old password was
stored, but kontact didn't show me a message that it couldn't log in to the
server. It was just quiet.

Same thing happened to me with the connection method. Another mail-provider
changed its server settings and doesn't allow tls-connections anymore but
ssl-connections. Again there was no error message that the login didn't work.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Change server settings back to something that doesn't work (e.g. tls) and try
to fetch new mail

Actual Results:
No new mail appears, no error message

Expected Results:
Message should pop up and tell the user about the error

I still lack this functionality... Would be great if someone could implement
it.

As this is still not possible with the latest versions, I would like to have
this be done in the future. It's a very useful thing to let KMail do this on
exit, because it's very annoying to do this with some extra clicks manually
before leaving.
