[kontact] [Bug 476478] New: Kontact Crashes when trying to view Identities
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=476478 Bug ID: 476478 Summary: Kontact Crashes when trying to view Identities Classification: Applications Product: kontact Version: unspecified Platform: Archlinux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Keywords: drkonqi Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: dave.conn...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Application: kontact (5.24.2 (23.08.2)) Qt Version: 5.15.11 Frameworks Version: 5.111.0 Operating System: Linux 6.5.9-arch2-1 x86_64 Windowing System: X11 Distribution: "Arch Linux" DrKonqi: 5.27.9 [KCrashBackend] -- Information about the crash: I have been dealing with issues relating to changing settings in my kmail. I tried to change the domain that is used in one of my identities. I tried sending an email from kmail after changing these settings, but my emails were being denied by Google due to DKIM (different issue). I noticed on the return to sender, that the domain still hadn't changed to what I had set in the Kontact settings. I deleted some emails from my outbox from the GUI, however Kmail then crashed. I tried cleaning the folders manually after following instructions from this bug report. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=339214#c24 I got it working after restarting my computer, however now I occasionally get crashes in the Kontact settings menu, especially when trying to view the Identities. Sometimes it doesn't crash, and the Identities page is just blank. Sometimes the Identities page seems to work after restarting the application. The crash can be reproduced sometimes. -- Backtrace: Application: Kontact (kontact), signal: Segmentation fault [KCrash Handler] #4 0x7f44dc35f4e8 in KCModuleProxy::isChanged() const () at /usr/lib/libKF5KCMUtils.so.5 #5 0x7f44dc63e35e in () at /usr/lib/libkontactprivate.so.5 #6 0x7f44db0d1097 in () at /usr/lib/libQt5Core.so.5 #7 0x7f44da790b69 in KPageDialog::currentPageChanged(KPageWidgetItem*, KPageWidgetItem*) () at /usr/lib/libKF5WidgetsAddons.so.5 #8 0x7f44db0d1097 in () at /usr/lib/libQt5Core.so.5 #9 0x7f44da799489 in KPageWidget::currentPageChanged(KPageWidgetItem*, KPageWidgetItem*) () at /usr/lib/libKF5WidgetsAddons.so.5 #10 0x7f44db0d1097 in () at /usr/lib/libQt5Core.so.5 #11 0x7f44da79930c in KPageView::currentPageChanged(QModelIndex const&, QModelIndex const&) () at /usr/lib/libKF5WidgetsAddons.so.5 #12 0x7f44da79d965 in () at /usr/lib/libKF5WidgetsAddons.so.5 #13 0x7f44db0d1097 in () at /usr/lib/libQt5Core.so.5 #14 0x7f44db0688cc in QItemSelectionModel::selectionChanged(QItemSelection const&, QItemSelection const&) () at /usr/lib/libQt5Core.so.5 #15 0x7f44db06c400 in QItemSelectionModel::emitSelectionChanged(QItemSelection const&, QItemSelection const&) () at /usr/lib/libQt5Core.so.5 #16 0x7f44db06665f in QItemSelectionModel::select(QItemSelection const&, QFlags) () at /usr/lib/libQt5Core.so.5 #17 0x7f44dc059ba5 in QTreeViewPrivate::select(QModelIndex const&, QModelIndex const&, QFlags) () at /usr/lib/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #18 0x7f44dc04dfc2 in QTreeView::setSelection(QRect const&, QFlags) () at /usr/lib/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #19 0x7f44dbfde0f6 in QAbstractItemView::mousePressEvent(QMouseEvent*) () at /usr/lib/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #20 0x7f44dbdaf4e9 in QWidget::event(QEvent*) () at /usr/lib/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #21 0x7f44dbe5d9d3 in QFrame::event(QEvent*) () at /usr/lib/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #22 0x7f44db099142 in QCoreApplicationPrivate::sendThroughObjectEventFilters(QObject*, QEvent*) () at /usr/lib/libQt5Core.so.5 #23 0x7f44dbd788ef in QApplicationPrivate::notify_helper(QObject*, QEvent*) () at /usr/lib/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #24 0x7f44dbd7ddaf in QApplication::notify(QObject*, QEvent*) () at /usr/lib/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #25 0x7f44db09c168 in QCoreApplication::notifyInternal2(QObject*, QEvent*) () at /usr/lib/libQt5Core.so.5 #26 0x7f44dbd7c0ea in QApplicationPrivate::sendMouseEvent(QWidget*, QMouseEvent*, QWidget*, QWidget*, QWidget**, QPointer&, bool, bool) () at /usr/lib/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #27 0x7f44dbdcce85 in () at /usr/lib/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #28 0x7f44dbdcebd7 in () at /usr/lib/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #29 0x7f44dbd788ff in QApplicationPrivate::notify_helper(QObject*, QEvent*) () at /usr/lib/libQt5Widgets.so.5 #30 0x7f44db09c168 in QCoreApplication::notifyInternal2(QObject*, QEvent*) () at /usr/lib/libQt5Core.so.5 #31 0x7f44db54194c in QGuiApplicationPrivate::processMouseEvent(QWindowSystemInterfacePrivate::MouseEvent*) () at /usr/lib/libQt5Gui.so.5 #32 0x7f44db52a6e5 in QWindowSystemInterface::sendWindowSystemEvents(QFlags) () at /usr/lib/libQt5Gui.so.5 #33 0x7f44bc52f5e0 in () at /usr/lib/libQt5XcbQpa.so.5 #34 0x7f44d1d0df69 in () at /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so.0 #35 0x7f44d1d6c327 in () at

[kontact] [Bug 458518] Some Google Calendar events are not displayed in KOrganizer or Kalendar; Events confirmed to exist in Akonadi Console
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=458518 --- Comment #4 from Dave Connett --- (In reply to gjditchfield from comment #1) > Please use akonadiconsole to look at the undisplayed events. Are you listed > as an ATTENDEE? If so, this could be bug 436812. Based on a few tests, I don't think they are the same bug. Tests ran: 1. I created an event with only myself, not recurring -> It displayed 2. I had a friend create an event and send it to me, not recurring -> It displayed 3. I created an event with only myself, recurring every week -> Did not display 4. I changed RSVP to "Maybe" (previously a "Yes") to one of the recurring (daily) events already on my calendar that was previously not appearing -> The single event displayed 5. I replied as a "Maybe" to the recurring event referenced in test #4, but for the previous day -> Event #4 disappeared and this event displayed 6. I changed test #4 RSVP from "Maybe" back to "Yes" -> event referenced in test #5 disappeared, and event #4 displayed 7. I changed RSVP to all recurring events referenced in tests 4, 5, and 6 -> No change: event from test #4 is still the only one that displays in this series I have attached two files containing raw data from my Akonadi Console for two events: one that is displaying as expected, and one that is not. Here is the diff between to the two files: 6,7c6,7 < DTSTAMP:20220829T160523Z < X-KDE-LIBKGAPI-EventId:m79fsiqpfv5n18h6ikdpo737hr_20220829T16Z --- > DTSTAMP:20220830T133254Z > X-KDE-LIBKGAPI-EventId:1pqtfomf40achkvc4s831kdk8r 9,10c9,10 < UID:m79fsiqpfv5n18h6ikdpo737hr_r20220606t160...@google.com < LAST-MODIFIED:20220829T160523Z --- > UID:1pqtfomf40achkvc4s831kd...@google.com > LAST-MODIFIED:20220830T133254Z 12,13c12,13 < DTSTART;TZID=America/Detroit:20220829T12 < DTEND;TZID=America/Detroit:20220829T122500 --- > DTSTART;TZID=America/Detroit:20220829T11 > DTEND;TZID=America/Detroit:20220829T121500 It looks like it's something potentially related to event recurrence, though there are many other parameters I didn't control for. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
