This still apply to Knode 4.3.4.
Is this the intended behaviour??

Stefan: the right workaround is to delete ~/.kde/share/apps/kmail/search/Last\
search
This worked for me at least

[Bug 199537] KMail doesn't respect KDE file associations

2009-07-09 Thread Davide Ferrari
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=199537

--- Comment #2 from Davide Ferrari 2009-07-09 13:27:02 ---
Ok, actually it's a "application/octet-stream" MIME attachment.

What should we do know? Close the bug or leave it open until KMail implements
more detection magic?

Thanks for the quick answer!

Version:(using KDE 4.2.90)
Installed from:Ubuntu Packages

With attachments, KMail doesn't respect global file associations, or at least
it doesn't on my machine (Kubuntu with KDE 4.3 beta upgraded from 4.2
installation) with MP3 files. In Dolphin MP3 has the correct icon and it's
associated with Dragon Player. In Kmail it has a generic binary icon and no
associated program by default

[Bug 195894] New: KMail Crashed while playing around with IMAP messages/folders

2009-06-10 Thread Davide Ferrari
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=195894

Summary: KMail Crashed while playing around with IMAP
messages/folders
   Product: kmail
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: vid...@gmail.com

Application that crashed: kmail
Version of the application: 1.11.90
KDE Version: 4.2.90 (KDE 4.2.90 (KDE 4.3 Beta2))
Qt Version: 4.5.1
Operating System: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic i686
Distribution: Ubuntu 9.04

What I was doing when the application crashed:
KMail seems to be unrensponsive in updating IMAP folders, so I was quickly
switching between one folder and another, even with a couple of tabs opened,
and then KMail suddenly crashed (and the new crash wizard appeared... really
cool btw!)
