[Bug 185544] Kontact is sometimes started twice and crashes when closing the 2nd instance
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=185544 --- Comment #116 from Dominic Lyons domlyons gmail com 2011-01-29 16:36:07 --- The rc-files edits seem to me more like a workaround than a real solution. If someone starts Kontact manually a second time through the k-menu the problem is still thse same. Wouldn't it be better to avoid Kontact running multiple instances? VLC, Amarok, Firefox and a lot of other applications handle it like that. If Kontact is started a second time it should for example only get the already running instance in the foreground and then quit the new instance. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

As this didn't happen on earlier versions of Kontact (2.5 without Akonadi) I guess Akonadi is the cause. On my Kolab account this problem doesn't occur but at first the mailbox is very little (only for testing purposes at the moment) and secondly I have no limits (at least no manual defined ones). On the other handy my GMail account somehow bigger (1,5 GB) so re-downloading over and over again is really a problem. I don't know what limits Google set but I assume that it will be larger than the postbox which means that the postbox was re-downloaded multiple times as the error occurred. [Bug 261980] New: Date-/Timepicker widgets could be more inuitive
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=261980 Summary: Date-/Timepicker widgets could be more inuitive Product: KOrganizer Mobile Version: unspecified Platform: Maemo 5 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: calendar AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: domly...@gmail.com Version: unspecified OS:Linux Datepicker widget: * Shows OK grayed out although it's - luckily! - cklickable * Changing month or year using a gesture is a good idea - but you have to find out how it works first ;-) Small arrows could make it easier to give a hint how it works * The day/month/year field could also work as input field. And it would be nice if the arrow keys could be used, too * The day/month/year field gesture menu could work as some kind of circular menu. For example it's easier to go once up to come from 1st to 31st instead of scrolling down. If the 31st is not available for a month it should be colored (but choosable as most users will adjust the day before changing he month) * The calendar preview doesn't respect the setting about the the week starting day (Monday/Sunday) * The calendar preview could be scrollable, for example scoll up down for last/next month and maybe even right/left for last/next year * The calendar preview isn't refreshed after selecting a new date using the fields on the right hands side. To get a refreshed preview I have to tap on the edited field again. If I've edited the month and the year and only tap on the year the preview only shows the selected year but the wrong month. * The Timepicker widget has similar problems to the date selector Reproducible: Always -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[Bug 261981] New: Timeline shows only a black area

[Bug 261982] New: Shortcut overlay buttons
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=261982 Summary: Shortcut overlay buttons Product: KDE PIM Mobile Version: unspecified Platform: Maemo 5 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: domly...@gmail.com Version: unspecified OS:Linux The action concept is very powerful and I really enjoy using it. But there a a few moments I wish there were some kind of shortcuts. For example if you open a mail there are a few typical actions: * reply/reply to all * mark as unread (and go back to the mail list view) * mark as spam/delete (and go back to the mail list view) Maybe it's possible to show an overlay button just like the one to show the next mail. [Bug 261983] New: Feature request: Context menu
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=261983 Summary: Feature request: Context menu Product: KDE PIM Mobile Version: unspecified Platform: Unlisted Binaries OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: domly...@gmail.com Version: unspecified OS:Linux Sometimes a context menu as the normal maemo apps have (tap and hold for a while) would be a nice extension to the pull and select model of Kontact Touch. This not only the behavior Maemo users would expect before trying about, but also useful if you want to apply an action on only one entry. The mail list view for example would be a good candidate for this.
