[knotes] [Bug 358973] Knotes do not drag, they only drop at the location of the released mouse-button
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358973 --- Comment #12 from Fabio Coatti --- Just tried this patch on 18.04.01; it improves the situation but it is not perfect. Basically now what happens is that when you click on a note titlebar, no matter where, the note quickly moves so the upper left corner of the note is located just under the mouse cursor. From this point on the note can be dragged as expected. Don't know if this can be the same bug or I need to open another one. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[kmail2] [Bug 376309] New: kmail2 locked on imap mails migration (5.4.2)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=376309 Bug ID: 376309 Summary: kmail2 locked on imap mails migration (5.4.2) Product: kmail2 Version: 5.4.1 Platform: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: fabio.coa...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Kmail locks when moving several emails from local folder to remote IMAP server Scenario: I have several local folders that I want to move to remote imap folders. If I move only some messages (say, < 10-20), the operation is completed. Moving more messages (no exact number though) the process seems to get stuck forever. The progress bar on sx bottom remains open and nothing happens; even waiting for hours does not allow the operation to complete. Please note that looking at the size of messages moved, it would take only some minutes to move them, not hours. One suspect is that at somepoint the network gets slow (I'm trying in some location with poor connectivity), the upload gets hogged and kmail is not able to recover. I'd rather prefer kmail to throw an error, if really is not able to complete the operation, that should be the ideal situation :). In the same network, other mail clients are able to complete a similar operation. (tested thunderbird/mac, outlook/mac-win) Distro: gentoo Kmail: 5.4.2 akonadi 16.12.2 Plasma 5.9.1 Gcc 5.4.0 I can perform tests and give more info, just let me know -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[knotes] [Bug 352011] No notes after KDE login; knotes must be restarted
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=352011 --- Comment #6 from Fabio Coatti <fabio.coa...@gmail.com> --- Just a thought: could this be a timing issue? I noticed that restarting akonadi helps but sometimes it does not work. It could be a mere coincidence, but when I restarted akonadi with "restart", sometimes notes failed to show up or only some appeared. Restarting akonadi with "stop", wait few seconds and then "start" it never failed, all notes were present. I guess this probably is a mere coincidence, but maybe it could an useful piece of information. Since the update, kmail is not working at all, basically it does not starts up. starting from command line, kmail does not even asks for kdewallet unlock. strace reveals the following behaviour: [pid 10521] sched_getaffinity(10521, 32, {f}) = 8 [pid 10521] write(3, \1\0\0\0\0\0\0\0, 8) = 8 [pid 10521] mmap(NULL, 8392704, PROT_READ|PROT_WRITE, MAP_PRIVATE|MAP_ANONYMOUS|MAP_STACK, -1, 0) = 0x7f2a50532000 [pid 10521] mprotect(0x7f2a50532000, 4096, PROT_NONE) = 0 [pid 10521] clone(child_stack=0x7f2a50d31f70, flags=CLONE_VM|CLONE_FS|CLONE_FILES|CLONE_SIGHAND|CLONE_THREAD|CLONE_SYSVSEM|CLONE_SETTLS|CLONE_PARENT_SETTID|CLONE_CHILD_CLEARTID, parent_tidptr=0x7f2a50d329d0, tls=0x7f2a50d32700, child_tidptr=0x7f2a50d329d0) = 15434 [pid 10521] stat(/home/cova/.config/Trolltech.conf, {st_mode=S_IFREG|0644, st_size=61804, ...}) = 0 [pid 10521] stat(/etc/localtime, {st_mode=S_IFREG|0644, st_size=2652, ...}) = 0 [pid 10521] lstat(/etc/qt4/Trolltech.conf, 0x7fffc5a05e30) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory) [pid 10521] open(/etc/qt4/Trolltech.conf, O_RDONLY|O_CLOEXEC) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory) [pid 10521] stat(/etc/qt4/Trolltech.conf, 0x7fffc5a05ea0) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory) [pid 10521] stat(/etc/localtime, {st_mode=S_IFREG|0644, st_size=2652, ...}) = 0 [pid 10521] stat(/usr/lib64/qt4/plugins/bearer/., Process 15434 attached 0x7fffc5a05dc0) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory) [pid 10521] stat(/usr/lib64/kde4/plugins/bearer/., 0x7fffc5a05dc0) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory) [pid 10521] stat(/usr/bin/bearer/., 0x7fffc5a05dc0) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory) [pid 15434] set_robust_list(0x7f2a50d329e0, 24) = 0 [pid 15434] mmap(NULL, 134217728, PROT_NONE, MAP_PRIVATE|MAP_ANONYMOUS|MAP_NORESERVE, -1, 0) = 0x7f2a48532000 [pid 15434] munmap(0x7f2a48532000, 61661184) = 0 [pid 15434] munmap(0x7f2a5000, 5447680) = 0 [pid 15434] mprotect(0x7f2a4c00, 135168, PROT_READ|PROT_WRITE) = 0 [pid 15434] eventfd2(0, O_NONBLOCK|O_CLOEXEC) = 12 [pid 15434] write(12, \1\0\0\0\0\0\0\0, 8) = 8 [pid 15434] prctl(PR_SET_NAME, 0x7f2a6d4eb820, 0, 0, 0) = 0 [pid 15434] poll([{fd=12, events=POLLIN}], 1, 0) = 1 ([{fd=12, revents=POLLIN}]) [pid 15434] poll([{fd=12, events=POLLIN}], 1, 4294967295) = 1 ([{fd=12, revents=POLLIN}]) [pid 15434] read(12, \1\0\0\0\0\0\0\0, 16) = 8 [pid 15434] poll([{fd=12, events=POLLIN}], 1, 4294967295 (**LOCKED HERE**) ls -la /proc/15434/fd/12 /proc/15434/fd/12 - anon_inode:[eventfd] and kmail remains locked here eating 100% cpu, nothing appears on screen or in system dock. launching kmail with dbus-launch kmail the situation is a bit different, as kmail asks for kdewallet unlock, but after that no kmail windows shows up. console output for dbus-launch: kmail2(29371)/libakonadi Akonadi::AgentManagerPrivate::createDBusInterface: AgentManager failed to get a valid AgentManager DBus interface. [Bug 278020] KMail cannot send e-mail via SMTP
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=278020 Fabio Coatti fabio.coa...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added CC||fabio.coa...@gmail.com --- Comment #40 from Fabio Coatti fabio.coa...@gmail.com --- Same problem here (or at least it seems the same) with kde 4.8.3 (gentoo). It happens at every login, quite repeatable. My scenario is that the network connection uses 802.X (wired) and my laptop asks a password every time I log in. It seems that akonadi services starts before the network is ready: after that there is no way to wake up mail dispatch agent. If I prevent kmail to open kdewallet, thus blocking it to fire up mail dispatch, wait for network to come up and only after this I give the right password to smtp agent, all works fine. So it seems that mail dispatching agent is not able to deal with network issues. (of course, no online/offline mode switch can help) some notes: .config/akonadi/agent_config_akonadi_maildispatcher_agent is correctly set to true. I've fixed local folders as suggested. turning on/off resources by akonadi console does not help. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

For mails sitting in Inbox folder, the options to answer are disabled, as kmail thinks that there are sent mail and not received. In fact, send again is active instead. 4.2.2 was working fine. If the same mail is moved to another folder, all works fine and I'm able to use reply option.
