[kmail2] [Bug 369157] Kmail2 doesn't work with Icons-Only task manager
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=369157 --- Comment #2 from Fred Wells --- I believe I have the latest version, kmail-16.12.3-1.fc25.x86_64. This only happens if I first launch KMail, then click 'PIN' in IOTM. If I instead drag the non-running KMail icon from the desktop or launcher to IOTM, it works fine. I don't see the behavior with Kontact. Presently, upon selecting KMail when prompted, I see only the Composer, which appears to behave normally - not completely empty in that it contains only the From: address as expected. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 231594] Kmail / kaddressbook inconsistencies since 4.4
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=231594 --- Comment #3 from Fred Wells 2010-03-26 02:52:33 --- This seems to work. Kmail composer addresses now match those in KAddressbook. To be clear, this is what I did. - System Settings -> Advanced -> KDE Resources (Contacts) - Click "Add ..." - Select "Akonadi Address Books ..." and follow prompts - Back at Contacts, select new A/B - Click "Use as Standard" - Uncheck and/or remove other unused A/Bs -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[Bug 231594] Kmail / kaddressbook inconsistencies since 4.4
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=231594 --- Comment #1 from Fred Wells 2010-03-22 02:53:24 --- After exporting my contacts and replacing std.vcf with the exported copy, kmail properly lists my contacts. Thus, it would appear that this may be a kaddressbook issue whereby std.vcf is not being properly updated/synchronized. It's not entirely clear what the relationship between akonadi and std.vcf are. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=231594 Summary: Kmail / kaddressbook inconsistencies since 4.4 Product: kmail Version: unspecified Platform: Fedora RPMs OS/Version: unspecified Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: fred_we...@charter.net Version:(using KDE 4.4.1) Installed from:Fedora RPMs Several inconsistencies exist between kmail and kaddressbook since KDE SC 4.4 (still with 4.4.1). It's impossible for a user to determine from where kmail is obtaining its contacts or to rely on the those available within Kmail Composer. - Composer doesn't list newly added or updated contacts. - Composer lists OLD contacts that no longer exist in any of my addressbooks. - Composer lists OLD categories that don't exist in any of my addressbooks. Categories reportedly no longer exist in the new kaddressbook. - Composer lists both "Default Address Book" and "resource", both of which list the same contacts. Don't know what "resource" means, but it's very confusing. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[Bug 206274] New: Add system tray notification option to kmail for sending mail
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=206274 Summary: Add system tray notification option to kmail for sending mail Product: kmail Version: unspecified Platform: Fedora RPMs OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: fred_we...@charter.net Version:(using KDE 4.3.0) OS:Linux Installed from:Fedora RPMs This has been a longstanding issue for me, going back to KDE3. I don't really recall the disposition of the KDE3 feature request I had opened on this. I think it fell stale for years and I finally closed it for lack of developer interest. Thus, I'm reviving it here for KDE4. Anyway, the problem remains that kmail provides no progress/status indicator when sending mail from an external application (e.g. digiKam). Users have absolutely no clue as to the delivery status of the mail without taking the unnecessarily time consuming steps of opening kmail and checking outgoing/sent-mail folders. This is particularly problematic for failed deliveries. While it is possible to add a filter to play a sound upon sent mail success, this is hardly intuitive and still gives no visual indication. Therefore, I recommend taking advantage of KDE4's new System Tray Notifications and Jobs component as a Notification "option" for kmail. In this way, when configured, mail sent either from within kmail or externally (from digikam, for example) can provide the user with a useful progress/status indicator. Perhaps it could/should be handled in a similar manner as file transfers are to/from konqueror. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
