[Bug 208986] New: Drag drop attachment from kmail, does not make the copied attachment writeable
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=208986 Summary: Drag drop attachment from kmail, does not make the copied attachment writeable Product: kmail Version: unspecified Platform: Mandriva RPMs OS/Version: unspecified Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: fhi...@pandora.be Version:(using KDE 4.3.1) Installed from:Mandriva RPMs Drag drop an attachment from a mail message in kmail to the desktop, and choose to copy it. The resulting copy of the attachment is then read-only, which makes users confused because they fail to edit the file. The file should be made writeable when it's copied out of kmail. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

--- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=163228 --- Additional Comments From fhimpe pandora be 2008-07-09 19:47 --- Still happens with 4.0.85. It does not always happen from the first time though: switching the setting between Always and Never a few times (without even closing the dialog, just clicking on the Apply button in between), should be enough to trigger this bug after two or three times. It seems drkonqi is broken on Mandriva currently, so I cannot get a backtrace at all anymore (at the console it says Unable to start dr. konqi). Is there a way to disable drkoni completely and just use plain gdb? Then I can provide you a full backtrace. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 163224] New: Check mail on startup should be enabled by default
--- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=163224 Summary: Check mail on startup should be enabled by default Product: kmail Version: unspecified Platform: Compiled Sources OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs kde org ReportedBy: fhimpe pandora be Version: 4.0.81 (using Devel) Installed from:Compiled sources The Check mail on startup option is disabled by default in kmail. kmail is AFAIK the only e-mail application with this behaviour. This makes it very confusing for users that they don't receive new e-mails when starting up the application. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 163228] New: Disabling message structure viewer when the structure viewer is visible, makes kmail crash
--- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=163228 Summary: Disabling message structure viewer when the structure viewer is visible, makes kmail crash Product: kmail Version: 1.9.51 Platform: Compiled Sources OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs kde org ReportedBy: fhimpe pandora be Version: 1.9.51 (using Devel) Installed from:Compiled sources I start kontact and go to the Mail component. In an IMAP folder, I select an e-mail containing attachments. The message structure is shown (request to change this default behaviour in bug #47882 by the way). Now go to the menu Settings - Configure KMail, choose Appearance on the left, and the tab page Layout. Under message structure viewer, choose Show never. Click on the Apply button: kontact crashes. Sorry, I don't have any debug packages installed for the moment so I cannot give a really useable backtrace, but this should be very easily reproducible for anyone I guess. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
