[Bug 250539] New: Spellchecker does not work in Kmail
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=250539 Summary: Spellchecker does not work in Kmail Product: kontact Version: 4.4.5 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: mail AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: gkour...@gmail.com Version: 4.4.5 (using KDE 4.5.0) OS:Linux After the upgrade to 4.5.0 (and later 4.5.1), the spell checker in Kmail started not to underline misspelled words. Automatic spell checker is enabled under the Tools menu. In order to make it work, I have to open on each new message the Spellchecker in Setting tab, to choose the language and then to press OK. After that I see the red lines under words with incorrect spelling. However, this solves the problem with the particular message, not in general. I am using three languages on my machine -- English, French and Bulgarian. The case is with each of the them. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open new message. 2. Type in the body. Wrong words are not underlined 3. Open Settings--> Spellchecker 4. Choose language. Press OK. 5. Wrong words are underlined Actual Results: The spellchecker in Kmail starts to work for this particular new message. Expected Results: I expect the spellchecker to check while I type and to underline in red misspelled words. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=233777 --- Comment #5 from GK 2010-04-10 22:00:03 --- you are correct that the list has been stored in Personal Contacts, however a respective file does not exist. In the beginning I wrote that when I open the Address book and search for the group by name, I have it listed as a blank line with no name, but ordered alphabetically where it should be.
