There is no such emails visible in the Microsoft Exchange webmail. I found the emails from trash in akonadiconsole but trying to delete them from there just made them to be duplicated. I cannot see any output related to this problem in akonadi output. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. I don't know. It happens randomly OBSERVED RESULT "Ghost emails" : emails appearing as unread in Inbox or Trash (see attached screenshot). Trying to fsck or vacuum akonadi does not change anything. Forcing the upadte of the folder does not work either. EXPECTED RESULT No ghost message should be present. Now, the basic workflow works (switching from mail to mail, from folder to folder and also when coming from another application. But it fails again when coming back from the Akregator panel in kontact. And also when waking up from sleep. In both cases, closing kontact and reopening it allows to use kmail normally again.
