[akregator] [Bug 193969] Open tabs so unnecessary for files
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=193969 --- Comment #4 from Graeme Hewson --- The behaviour is much the same in Akregator 5.13.3 with the default settings. The default Browser setting is Left mouse click = Open in Tab. Perhaps this indicates it's working as designed, but as the OP said this isn't the way it used to work. I see from my comment in 2012 that the popup had the option to open the enclosure with an application (such as Amarok). Now there's no such option, and all the popup offers to do is download the enclosure. The popup has the title "Save HTML Page -- Akregator". -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Akonadi] [Bug 283682] KMail duplicates filtered messages
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=283682 --- Comment #208 from Graeme Hewson --- I haven't seen the problem for a while, maybe two years. I use POP3 only, not IMAP. I run Kubuntu; currently I'm on 19.04. Sometimes kmail crashes, and I wonder if the way I clean up is related to my not seeing duplicate filtered messages. When kmail crashes, I stop akonadi ("akonadictl stop") and look in the maildir structure like this: cd .local/share/.local-mail.directory ls */new/*S The S indicates messages which have been Seen, and according to the Maildir specification the files should not be in a"new" subdirectory; they should have been moved to a "cur" subdirectory. I therefore move them while akonadi is stopped. E.g., mv -i wastebin/new/*S wastebin/cur I then run "akonadictl fsck" and restart akonadi ("akonadictl start"). As I say, it's pure speculation that this is why I don't see duplicate messages now. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Akonadi] [Bug 333035] Supposable timing problem causes duplicate mails after filtering
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=333035 --- Comment #6 from Graeme Hewson --- I'm still seeing something like this in 5.1.3. Sometimes I'll see a message in my inbox that should have been filtered to another folder. The unread count for the target folder is 0. [kmail2] [Bug 319823] Problems with Mailing List preferred handler = browser
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=319823 --- Comment #3 from Graeme Hewson --- I confirm the problems are still present in Kubuntu 16.04, which uses kmail2 version 5.1.3 (and I'm using kmail2 within kontact version 5.1.3). I see that a handler _is_ invoked if the URI scheme is mailto. Further, the kmail handler is invoked only if the email address is at the top of the list of URIs; if a URL is at the top, nothing happens when Invoke Handler is clicked. Further still, the "Preferred handler" setting is ignored; if it's set to Browser, and an email address is at the top of the list of URIs, nevertheless clicking Invoke Handler brings up a kmail2 composer window. I would expect that if the preferred handler is set to Browser, then clicking Invoke Handler opens the browser wherever the URL is in the list (assuming there is a URL in the list, of course). And similarly for preferred handler = KMail. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=326480 --- Comment #18 from Graeme Hewson --- I directed libakonadi debug output to disk while I logged in to KDE (file attached). The messages make reference to /tmp/akonadi-ghewson.ws0sFY/akonadiserver.socket, but there is no such file. This is after a reboot (on Kubuntu, where /tmp is cleared between reboots). However, the file /did/ exist in the previous session, and in the current session ~/.local/share/akonadi/socket-$(hostname) is a link to /tmp/akonadi-ghewson.ws0sFY/akonadiserver.socket. The messages also say "Akonadi server is already starting up", but before logging in to KDE I started a terminal session and verified that Akonadi wasn't running. (It's very hard to see how it could have been!) To reiterate: sometimes Akonadi does start properly. After reading a message in the mailing list I went back to my inbox and saw what turned out to be the same message (I saved the two copies and compared them to make sure). From both the inbox and the other folder, I was able to save the message, but there was only one copy on disk, which I found using grep. This was in ~/.local/share/.local-mail.directory/inbox/new/ (before I opened it). I've uploaded the relevant part of the filter log (https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=82421). The entries at 08:07 and 08:37 are just for context, to show that I've included all entries at 08:27. The log entry for the first message at 08:27:12 says "Move Into Folder "akonadi-local/london.pm", and indeed that message was visible in that folder through kmail, but as I say, grep showed it was really in inbox. The timestamp of the file (using ls --full-time) is 08:27:12.79. Now see the filter log entry at 08:27:13. This refers to the same message that was filtered one second earlier (I know it's the same because there was only one message sent by that person at 09:07 their local time). After manually applying filtering to the message, the two (visible) copies were both in akonadi-local/london.pm. Again, there was only one version actually on disk. About an hour later, the same thing happened (same mailing list; different author). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Akonadi] [Bug 255388] Kmail filters dont work in incoming mail
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=255388 --- Comment #94 from Graeme Hewson --- Following on from my comment 93, now a message has been left in my inbox after an automatic mail check. Again, the message was moved to the correct folder after applying filtering manually. So this is more than a one-off, but an intermittent bug, and can occur with automatic or manual mail checks. [Akonadi] [Bug 255388] Kmail filters dont work in incoming mail
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=255388 --- Comment #93 from Graeme Hewson --- Filtering has been much better for me in the last few releases, but I've hit a one-off problem. I filter messages from a particular mailing list to its own folder. A little while ago I did a manual Check Mail (Ctrl+L), and two new messages from the list were left in my Inbox. These were correctly filtered with a manual Apply Filter (Ctrl+J). A few minutes later I again did a manual Check Mail, and two new messages from the list were correctly filtered and moved out of my Inbox. This is a POP3 account, and the filter looks at List-Id. The filter is applied just to the particular POP3 account (since bug 308008 was fixed). I guess it would be tricky to reproduce this, as the timing would have to be just right (or wrong). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[Akonadi] [Bug 322871] mail filters do not work for incoming messages if the destination folder of the pop3 resource is not the inbox
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=322871 Graeme Hewson changed: What|Removed |Added CC||b...@wormhole.me.uk --- Comment #1 from Graeme Hewson --- I'm unable to reproduce this. I set up a filter with "Subject contains foobar" and action "Move Into Folder akonadi-local/"; then in Advanced "from checked accounts only" and uncheck all but the one POP3 server. I also tried moving the test filter down the list, from first to second place. I tried with two POP3 accounts, each with a different destination folder. Apart, obviously, from the account settings, there were other differences: one uses pipelining and the other doesn't; one uses encryption and the other doesn't. Invoke Handler has no effect. Go to Folder Properties, Mailing List tab. Preferred handler was previously set to Browser. Set address type to something with an http URL. Click Invoke Handler. Nothing happens. 2. Preferred handler changed without clicking OK. With the preferred handler previously set to KMail, go to the Mailing List tab. Change the preferred handler to Browser and try to invoke Browser handler, as above. As before, nothing hapens. Click Cancel. Go back to the Mailing List tab and observe that the preferred handler is Browser and not KMail, even though the Cancel button was clicked, not the OK button. To be honest, I'm not sure it's useful to invoke the handler from the Folder Properties dialog: it makes more sense to use the Message / Mailing-List submenu. If the Invoke Handler button were to be removed, then I don't think it wouldn't make sense either to have a preferred handler. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
