[Bug 209254] New: crash after clicking inline html view from message contents pane

2009-10-02 Thread Greg Martyn
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=209254

Summary: crash after clicking inline html view from message
contents pane
   Product: kmail
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: greg.mar...@gmail.com

Application that crashed: kmail
Version of the application: 1.12.1
KDE Version: 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1)
Qt Version: 4.5.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.30.8-64.fc11.x86_64 x86_64

What I was doing when the application crashed:
The text view of my email looked fine. I clicked the inline html view from
message contents pane. It displayed, then after a second or two it refreshed.
Then it refreshed again a couple of times, then kmail crashed.

The email had a pdf attachment.

Qt Version: 4.5.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.30.5-43.fc11.x86_64 x86_64

What I was doing when the application crashed:
I hit Ctrl+J to manually filter the messages then kmail crashed. This doesn't
look like the usual filter messages crash that I always get.

[Bug 208307] Big memory leak when running in background

2009-09-23 Thread Greg Martyn
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=208307

--- Comment #1 from Greg Martyn 2009-09-23 17:13:45 ---
Ah! I remember what I did that caused this: I performed a search on one of my
IMAP folders for emails with attachments, and from the person I was looking
for. It said it had to download all the messages in that folder (which is
probably a lot). That was somewhat surprising because I was searching based on
the FROM, and I thought that that would be stored in the (already downloaded)
headers.

[Bug 208307] New: Big memory leak when running in background

2009-09-23 Thread Greg Martyn
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=208307

Summary: Big memory leak when running in background
   Product: kmail
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: greg.mar...@gmail.com

Application that crashed: kmail
Version of the application: 1.12.1
KDE Version: 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1)
Qt Version: 4.5.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.30.5-43.fc11.x86_64 x86_64

What I was doing when the application crashed:
KMail was open overnight with no problems. I went through my mail, then closed
it. (it remained open in the system tray) My system became sluggish and I
noticed that kmail was using gigs of ram. Sent a sigterm (signal 15) then saw
the crash dialog.

Oops.. sorry. In the backtrace from #6 on they're the same but #5 is different.
Comment #3 doesn't show that line though.

This is the bug I experience -- not 164448.

[Bug 203326] New: Got cmd 50 while waiting for an answer

2009-08-10 Thread Greg Martyn

  Priority: NOR

AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: greg.mar...@gmail.com

Version:(using KDE 4.2.4)
Installed from:Fedora RPMs

I came into the office this morning to see that my hard disk was filled by
~/.xsession-errors. That one file was 132GB. It was filled by this one line
repeated over and over:

kio_imap4(15095)/kio (kioslave) KIO::SlaveBase::waitForAnswer: Got cmd  50
while waiting for an answer!

I had had some trouble with kmail the day before caused by some big
attachments. It would just hang for longer than it should have taken to
download the whole file.
