[kmail2] [Bug 337713] New: kmail editor overwrite mode: space key does not overwrite

2014-07-22 Thread Hamlet
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=337713

Bug ID: 337713
Summary: kmail editor overwrite mode: space key does not
overwrite
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.13.2
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: composer
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: _ham...@libero.it

It appears that when I type in overwrite mode in the kmail composer (plain text
mode), hitting does not overwrite the character under the cursor (the
space is inserted before it instead).

[Akonadi] [Bug 323455] "Filter account is missing" after KMail startup

I also confirm this behaviour.
In my case, the dialog is shown twice for the same filter, just one filter out
of more than a dozen that I have. It targets the same filter each time.
I also confirm that sometimes the filter is lost (read: deleted), but it's not
clear to me in which conditions that happens. In such case, the targeted filter
will change the next time.
In my set up the startup of kmail happens automatically: I do not close kmail
when logging out, and I have asked KDE to restore the previous session when
logging on (it's just too convenient to give it up).

Gentoo Linux
Qt: 4.8.5
KDE Development Platform: 4.11.1
KMail: 4.11.1
Akonadi 1.10.2

[Bug 277256] New: Crash while filtering IMAP e-mails

2011-07-06 Thread Hamlet
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=277256

Summary: Crash while filtering IMAP e-mails
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 2.1.0
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: _ham...@libero.it

Application: kmail (2.1.0)
KDE Platform Version: 4.6.4 (4.6.4) (Compiled from sources)
Qt Version: 4.7.3
Operating System: Linux 2.6.37-tuxonice x86_64
Distribution (Platform): Gentoo Packages

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I was doing nothing particular.
KMail performed the periodic mail check on an IMAP box, found ~100 new mails
which are all of the same kind. The filtering started and (while the favorite
folders and the folder views were wildly dancing) the mails were being moved in
an off-line, local folder.
At a certain point it crashed. The filter works correctly (actually it stood a
similar load of e-mails before).

Should I mention that (at least in my box, KMail 2.1.0, KDE 4.6.4, Gentoo)
those folders don't accept drag&drop, nor their icon settings are saved? And
that their order is as wild as the one in the folders view?

Confirming on KMail 2.1.0 (KDE 4.6.4, Gentoo) too.
Note that on akonadiconsole the same feature is enabled (i.e. it is possible to
create such top-level directories).

[Bug 249986] folder list randomly sorted

I have the same issue with KMail 2.1.0 (KDE 4.6.4 on Gentoo/Linux).

This is very irritating especially since it can happen also while in the middle
of a drag&drop, moving the destination folder out of view. Also, it always (or
almost) happen after the drag&drop is completed.
There is an option which sounds like it should prevent this from happening
(right-clicking on the "name" label, there is a "Sort items" section). But that
does not work: even after selecting "Manually", I couldn't change the order of
the main folders by drag&drop and the order kept changing on each update of...
something KMail knows but I don't.
Plus, that setting (as the folder icons too) is forgotten on the next restart.
But this is probably worth another bug about "forgotten settings".
