[Bug 311108] New: Answering certain HTML mails displays error message in KMail composer

2012-12-03 Thread Joachim Mairböck
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=311108

Bug ID: 311108
  Severity: major
   Version: 4.10 pre
  Priority: NOR
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
Summary: Answering certain HTML mails displays error message in
KMail composer
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: j.mairbo...@gmail.com
  Hardware: openSUSE RPMs
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Component: composer
   Product: kmail2

When trying to answer certain HTML mails, the composer shows the following
error message twice, and also when trying to send the mail:

Could not compose (or autosave) message: Asked to use word wrapping, but not
given wrapped plain text.

This effectively makes answering those mails impossible when using Word Wrap.
As a workaround one can disable this from the Options menu of the composer.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select an HTML mail in the message list and press Reply.
2. The composer opens and displays the above error message twice.
3. Try to send or queue the message. The error message is again shown twice,
the composer stays open and the mail is not sent.
Actual Results:
The above mentioned error message is shown.

Expected Results:
No error messages, and the mail being correctly sent.

This doesn't seem to happen for plain text mails or when the quoted text of the
answered mail is rendered in plain text in the composer. Only HTML mails are
affected.

This has the same backtrace as bug #242698, so maybe this (or the other) can be
resolved as a duplicate, although it seems to be a different way to trigger the
bug.

akonadi_imap_resource (0.1) on KDE Platform 4.6.5 (4.6.5) using Qt 4.7.3

I still get this bug (for the first time now after a few weeks) with KDEPIM
4.6.0 (from openSUSE packages). The IMAP resource that crashed is used for
GMail.

I just tried it again with KDE PIM 4.6 Beta 4 and KDE 4.6.2 (on openSUSE 11.4
now) and there was no crash any more. It seems to have been fixed. Thank you.

[Bug 262447] Kontact (KOrganizer) crashed when restarting Akonadi

2011-01-08 Thread Joachim Mairböck
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=262447

--- Comment #2 from Joachim Mairböck j mairboeck gmail com 2011-01-08
15:59:36 ---
I haven't tried to reproduce it yet, but I can try.

I don't have any special calendar collections in Akonadi. My main calendar is
an ICal file std.ics originally converted from the KResource (using a native
Akonadi ICal resource), then there is an Invitations Collection where I don't
really know what it is for, a Birthdays resource and now also a Google
Calendar, but that wasn't there yet when Kontact crashed.

However, I have some sort of oddness, since I've upgraded to KDE 4.6, but that
shows up in KMail: All the Categories from KOrganizer show up multiple times in
the Mark Message submenu of the mail context menu (I have added some own long
ago and I use nested categories). The submenu covers the whole screen. I don't
know if this has something to do with it.

I am using RPM packages provided by the openSUSE Build Service from the
KDE:Factory:Desktop repository currently containing KDE SC 4.5.95 and KDE PIM
4.5.85.

[Bug 262447] Kontact (KOrganizer) crashed when restarting Akonadi

2011-01-08 Thread Joachim Mairböck

--- Comment #3 from Joachim Mairböck j mairboeck gmail com 2011-01-08
16:16:01 ---
I have tried doing the same again: akonadictl restart with Kontact running in
the background and it crashed again after some time. The last output on the
console before the crash were multiple lines similar to this:
akonadi_nepomuk_calendar_feeder(4775)/libkdepim Akonadi::PluginLoader::scan:
registering Desktop file
/usr/share/kde4/apps/akonadi/plugins/serializer/akonadi_serializer_kcalcore.desktop
for (text/calendar, application/x-vnd.akonadi.note,
application/x-vnd.kde.notes) @ (default, KCalCore::Incidence*)

A bit above that is also something that looks similar to a stack trace,
something with strigidaemon and freeing an invalid pointer. However, I have
disabled Strigi Indexing in System Settings (but not Nepomuk as a whole) and I
also get a corresponding error message every time I login and when I start
Akonadi.

I have not yet entered the KWallet password, so not all resources are set up
completely yet after Akonadi startup.

I just saw that this time korgac crashed as well with a similar stack trace. I

[Bug 252682] New: Akonadi IMAP resource crash

2010-09-28 Thread Joachim Mairböck
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=252682

   Summary: Akonadi IMAP resource crash
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: IMAP resource
AssignedTo: er...@kde.org
ReportedBy: j.mairbo...@gmail.com
CC: vkra...@kde.org, kdepim-bugs@kde.org

Application: akonadi_imap_resource (0.1)
KDE Platform Version: 4.5.1 (KDE 4.5.1)
Qt Version: 4.7.0
Operating System: Linux 2.6.34.7-0.3-pae i686
Distribution: openSUSE 11.3 (i586)

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I wanted to prepare myself for the Akonadi switch and created two IMAP
resources for my mail accounts yesterday, one for GMail and one for the
university account (based on Microsoft Exchange). The university one does
currently not seem to work though.
Today, one of them crashed, considering the higher memory usage, I assume it
was the GMail one. The resources are currently not actively used.

-- Backtrace:

[Bug 235242] New: kmail crash when deleting mail over imap (moving to trash) and mailbox nearly full

2010-04-24 Thread Joachim Mairböck
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=235242

Summary: kmail crash when deleting mail over imap (moving to
trash) and mailbox nearly full
   Product: kontact
   Version: 4.4.2
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: j.mairbo...@gmail.com

Application: kontact (4.4.2)
KDE Platform Version: 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2) release 244
Qt Version: 4.6.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.31.12-0.2-pae i686
Distribution (Platform): openSUSE RPMs

-- Information about the crash:
KMail displayed some error message that it couldn't copy the mail, probably
because the maximum size of the mailbox was reached. I wanted to delete my mail
(after making backup elsewhere) as I got a reminder from Microsoft Exchange
that my mailbox was nearly full. After pressing Continue on the error
message, KMail crashed.

 -- Backtrace:
Application: Kontact (kontact), signal: Segmentation fault

Please move this bug to the product KMail as I doubt it has something to do
with Kontact.
