https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402009 Kishore Gopalakrishnan changed: What|Removed |Added CC||kishor...@gmail.com Resolution|--- |FIXED Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED --- Comment #8 from Kishore Gopalakrishnan --- I think this bug is fixed now (I was able to reproduce it last year). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a recurring event on the Google calendar web interface (every week on the same day) 2. Add Google Calendar to Korganizer (Settings > Configure Korganizer > General > Calendars > Add > Google Groupware > Configure 3. check that the recurring event you created on Google Calendar web interface is shown in Korganizer 4. Go to the Google Calendar web interface again, and change the time of a single occurrence of the recurring event (it will allow you to select this option while saving changes) 5. Check that the change is applied in the Google Calendar web interface 6. Now open Korganizer, right-click on the Google Calendar entry in the sidebar, and click 'update folder' OBSERVED RESULTS The changed time of the single occurrence is correctly shown (earlier, it would not be updated, just as this bug report mentions). SOFTWARE VERSIONS korganizer 6.0.0 (24.02.0) Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0 Qt Version: 6.6.2 Kernel Version: 6.7.9-arch1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[korganizer] [Bug 483823] New: New event button does not use currently selected date as default
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=483823 Bug ID: 483823 Summary: New event button does not use currently selected date as default Classification: Applications Product: korganizer Version: 6.0.0 Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: kishor...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When you create a new event from the toolbar button, it uses today's date by default rather than the currently selected one. STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1. In the month-view date picker on the right (not the main view), click on a date other than today's date 2. Click the 'new event' button in the toolbar 3. Cancel event creation 4. Right-click on a date other than today's date in the calendar, and click 'new event' OBSERVED RESULTS In step 2, the opened event creation dialog has today's date populated as the default one, rather than the date the user had selected before clicking the toolbar button. On the other hand, step 4 behaves correctly, in that it sets the default event date as the date the user had selected. EXPECTED RESULTS In step 2, the default date for the new event creation should be the date the user had selected. This prevents the user from adding such a file to a unified mailbox. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create an account from an mbox file by going to Settings > Accounts > Receiving > Add account > Custom account > mbox, and selecting an mbox file. 2. In Settings > Plugins > Unified mailboxes > configure, click the 'edit' button for any existing unified mailbox 3. Try to select the mbox account to add it to the unified mailbox OBSERVED RESULTS The mbox account has no checkbox next to it to add it to the unified mailbox. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453809 Bug ID: 453809 Summary: kalendarac does not pick up timezone changes unless restarted Product: Reminder Daemon Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: kishor...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY If the computer's timezone is changed by the user, kalendarac does not pick up the change without a reboot. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set an event to start at some particular time A in a timezone T (different from your current timezone), and set a notification to be shown at event start. 2. In System Settings > Regional Settings > Date and Time > timezone, set your computer's timezone to T and apply changes 3. Wait for the time A to arrive. OBSERVED RESULTS No reminder is shown at the configured time. However, the reminder is shown at the correct time if the computer is rebooted between steps 2 and 3. EXPECTED RESULTS kalendarac should be able to handle timezone changes without reboots, since, e.g., the user may want to change their computer's timezone while travelling. SOFTWARE VERSIONS kalendarac 5.20.1 kalendar 22.04.1 Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.94.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 Kernel Version: 5.15.39-1-lts (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[Reminder Daemon] [Bug 453805] New: Text of event reminders does not use local timezone
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453805 Bug ID: 453805 Summary: Text of event reminders does not use local timezone Product: Reminder Daemon Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: kishor...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY If an event is in another timezone, the reminder text mentions the start time as the time in that timezone, not the user's local timezone. Note that the reminder is displayed at the correct time; this bug is only related to the text that is shown in the notification. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. In Kalendar, create an event in a different timezone from the local one 2. Set a reminder to be shown for it 3. Wait for the reminder OBSERVED RESULTS The notification says 'Event starts at $TIME_IN_REMOTE_TIMEZONE' without displaying the name of any timezone (and thus the user assumes it is in the local timezone). EXPECTED RESULTS Notification should either say 'Event starts at $TIME_IN_USER'S_CURRENT_TIMEZONE' or display the name of the remote timezone along with the time. [korganizer] [Bug 419713] KOrganizer deletes events in shared calendar without prompting
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419713 --- Comment #2 from Kishore Gopalakrishnan --- I also got hit by the same bug today (a large number of error popups identical with those in the initial report), but this was in a Google calendar accessible only by me, and I do not live in a region that uses Daylight Saving Time. Unfortunately, I do not know how to find out if (and how many) events were actually deleted from the calendar (but my recent events seem to be intact). [akregator] [Bug 435606] New: Cannot left- or middle-click on links in articles viewed in the sidebar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435606 Bug ID: 435606 Summary: Cannot left- or middle-click on links in articles viewed in the sidebar Product: akregator Version: GIT (master) Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: kishor...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 137501 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=137501&action=edit Screenshot with working and non-working links marked SUMMARY If I view an article in the sidebar and the article contains links, clicking on the links (either left- or middle-click) does not open the link. In 'Settings > Configure Akregator > Browser', I have configured both left- and middle-click to open in external browser. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. View any article in the sidebar. 2. Left-click or middle-click on a link in the article (this should not be the link to the full version of the article or the link to the homepage; see attached screenshot for description of which links do and do not work). OBSERVED RESULT Nothing happens after clicking on the link EXPECTED RESULT The link should open in an external browser or in a tab according to the user's configuration. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Akregator: 5.16.90 beta (21.03.80) (this is the output of `akregator --version`) Linux distro: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.80.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.11.12-arch1-1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I am using the package from the kde-unstable repo [1]. In this package, the commit [2] is applied on top of the released source. The 'planet KDE' RSS feed [3] has many articles with links, which may be useful to reproduce this bug. If I right-click on the links, I can see the 'open in tab' and open in external browser' options, and those work as expected. If I view articles in the internal browser (by opening in a tab), I can left- or middle-click on links in the article. I was able to click on links with the version released as part of KDE Applications 20.12.3. [korganizer] [Bug 435054] New: Deletion of single instances of recurring events in Google Calendar is not reflected in Korganizer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435054 Bug ID: 435054 Summary: Deletion of single instances of recurring events in Google Calendar is not reflected in Korganizer Product: korganizer Version: 5.16.3 Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: groupware Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: kishor...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When a single occurrence of a recurring event is deleted through the Google Calendar web interface, that occurrence still shows up in Korganizer. This persists even after I force synchronization (right click> synchronize > synchronize all) of the 'Google Groupware' component through Akonadi Console. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a weekly recurring event in Korganizer, choosing Google Calendar as the calendar resource. 2. Go to the Google calendar web interface [ https://calendar.google.com ], and delete only a single occurrence of the recurring event (it will provide this option when you try to delete the event). OBSERVED RESULT The single occurrence that you chose to delete disappears from the Google calendar web interface, but that particular occurrence is still shown in Korganizer. The occurrence also gets deleted on my phone, so this doesn't seem to be a bug in Google calendar. EXPECTED RESULT When a single occurrence of a recurring event is deleted in another device, it should also be deleted in Korganizer. You get a warning box with three options: 'attach file', 'send as is', or 'cancel'. 6. Clicking 'send as is' allows the draft to be saved without attaching a file. [kmail2] [Bug 407150] New: Message list thread sorting is applied only if I navigate to another folder and back
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407150 Bug ID: 407150 Summary: Message list thread sorting is applied only if I navigate to another folder and back Product: kmail2 Version: 5.11.0 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: message list Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: kishor...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When I receive mail which is in an older thread, sorting is applied only if I switch to another folder and back again. Individual (unthreaded) mails are sorted correctly. I usually have kmail running in the background, minimized to the system tray. Threading is enabled, and I have sorting set to 'by date / time of most recent in subtree'. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Select a folder in the kmail window. Enable threading and sorting threads by 'most recent in subtree'. Minimize kmail to the system tray. 2. Wait until you receive an email (or send one to yourself from some other client) that is both A. in the aforementioned folder B. in a thread that is not currently on top in the message list (i.e. you received some other emails after that thread). 3. Open the kmail window. 4. Observe that the new email is shown, but its thread is not moved to the top. It is still at its previous position. 5. Navigate to another mail folder, then back to the previous one. 6. Observe that the threads are now sorted correctly. OBSERVED RESULT Threads in the 'active' folder are sorted only after we navigate to another folder and back again. EXPECTED RESULT One of the below behaviours: A. Threads are re-sorted whenever a new mail check is done (this may be too intrusive) B. Threads are re-sorted whenever there is new mail AND kmail is minimized. I think B would be better, as it would prevent threads jumping around in the message list while one is viewing it. Close the window and open the main Kmail window OBSERVED RESULT The 'important' tag is applied to the last mail that was selected in the kmail message list, but not the mail which you were viewing. It would be useful to be able to retrieve full messages for recent mails, and retrieve on demand for older ones. For people with large mail inboxes, retrieving everything just to have access to perhaps the last 30 days of mail offline seems like a waste. Ideally, there would be a third option which would retrieve full messages only for mails in the last X days (where X could be user-configurable).
