I have the same messages repeated in journalctl.
There is also a memory leak that makes the akonadi_ews_res process grow:
top with interval: 10 sec
continuous increase of akonadi_ews_res RES size:

SUMMARY
in the folder list view, the "Name" field is very large so that other columns
do not appear

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. right click on "Name" Heading, in menu enable one or more fields (unread,
total and size)
2. tear the ruler underneath the folder view to the right
3. now we can see these fields
4. select the column separator between Name and unread and try to shorten the
name column

OBSERVED RESULT
the pointer keeps hopping to the right when I tear to the left

EXPECTED RESULT
I want to see Name and unread value side by side

Hi,

I don't know if it's related, I'm experiencing some refresh IMAP Google sub
folder.
Kmail is stop to work and I've to restart akonadictl to find an issue.
On Kmail interface is freezing on IMAP Google folder sync. If I put kwallet
working with akonadi it's worse.

I've an other IMAP acount from an other provider than Google and it's working
fine. There is sub folder on this last one.

In hope to help
Regards,

[Bug 312295] New: Easier way to specify the sent folder.

2012-12-28 Thread michel
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=312295

Bug ID: 312295
Summary: Easier way to specify the sent folder.
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: composer
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: mic...@albert.lu

Over the past 6 years, I exclusively used Thunderbird. It has an extension
called Copy Sent to current
(https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/thunderbird/addon/copy-sent-to-current/).
With this addon, it is possible to save the sent mail to the currently active
folder.

After using this for a few years, this has become really helpful in organising
my e-mails, as the *whole* conversation can be easily followed in one folder.
By default, the conversation is split into the inbox and sent folder,
which makes it a lot harder to follow.

KMail already has a feature that comes *very* close. This is the ability to
display the Sent-Mail folder in the composer. Unfortunately, this defaults to
the folder configured in the identity. If it would - in case of a reply -
default to the current folder (in other words: the folder which contained the
original mail, it would become *much* more convenient.

Preferably, this behaviour should be possible to enable/disable in the
configuration dialog.

[Bug 312295] Easier way to specify the sent folder.

Thanks! I did not look there for this option.

Is it also possible to activate this globally? Such that it even counts for
newly created folders?

Thanks a lot. But for now, I can live with the per-folder settings. It will do
nicely. If I forget to switch it on, I will find out quickly anyway.

From my point of view, I consider this a non-issue now. Everything else, like
global settings, is just icing on the cake.

SVN commit 1169440 by mludwig:

- Add a 'restore' method to 'Sonnet::BackgroundChecker', which allows it to
read a given spell check configuration and then to pass it on to the filter
object that is used internally. The implementation is similar to what is done
inside 'Sonnet::Highlighter'.
- Use the restore method inside KatePart to finally fix bug 244907 for KatePart
as well.

(Once this is merged with Kate's git repository, Kate devs will have to update
their working copy of kdelibs.)

click on check mail
select a local folder
right click on it
in the context menu choose Move all Messages to trash
click on check mail
(you need new mail to be loaded in the selected folder - same folder as above )
right click
the Move All Message to Trash option stays disabled even if we have new mails
in the folder.
it should be enabled and usable

this is reproducable every time

[Bug 214546] New: chaining multiple image additions

2009-11-14 Thread Simixis michel
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=214546

   Summary: chaining multiple image additions
   Product: kmail
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: a10...@11mail.be

Version:(using KDE 4.3.2)
OS:Linux
Installed from:Ubuntu Packages

The existing image addition permits only 1 image to be added, then the window
closes. It would be nice if we could chain image addition, an option in the
settings or an additional chained image addition would be, that the window
stays open and the next image is added right next to the previous one.

additionally, the possibility to change line from with in the add image
window would be nice. So we can add really a lot of images painlessly.

Motivation:

Basically, the goal is that the user can easily and fast add images in html
messages out of a pool of several 1000s. A simple list is extremely aquard at
those numbers. Because of auto completion, the image addition window can handle
large numbers of images. A lot of cleaver trics can be devised for this,
properly done it would require a new module, but here i just want to ask some
trivial changes in the way the existing possibility of adding images is handled
by kmail.

The logic is, that the user can, make easily insert images carying certain
meaning instead of using a word. Its not just for 1-2-3 big images in a
message, i'm talking more like several 10s of litle images in a single message,
that individually carry some special meaning, for the writer and the potential
receaver. The images will be used as ideograms, replacing even complicated
words. For example, in Chinese, moon, is just a stylized moon, the sun is a
stylized sun, and the word brilliant its moon and sun together. With compounds,
you can construct images carrying very abstract meanings. This is why its
needed to have a lot of help from the program, because adding images by hand
the normal way is very tedious for this kind of usage.

The theory is, that this can start as hybrid normal-writing/images and
gradually develop in to a fully fledged international, written only, auxiliary
language. I'm looking for programmers that are as crazy as me, for a program
with specialized interface for this kind of thing. Things like, fuzzy search,
data base for images, images in the spell checker, images treated like fonts,
speech to text, artificial neurones

more in detail, explanation of the motivations, warning english is absolutely
terrible, i'll fix it some other time(its a wiki)

--- Comment #4 from Felix Michel felix_michel gmx ch 2008-12-27 12:16:10 ---
i have the same crash on KDEmod 4.1.85 with Kmail 1.10.92.

the backtrace i created is hopefully more useful. i installed all the debug
packages you mentioned above.

Application: KMail (kmail), signal SIGABRT
