Yes, really is "Address book" in English, I'm sorry. I include "Open in Address
Book" in Kmail toolbar., but it doesn't nothing. I changed icon to "Address
book" and it works now. Maybe I don't understand right what's "Open in Address
Book", sorry. I'll try to guess.

It's OK!!! It's been EIGHT YEARS since I reported the incident, is it really
worth anything to report problems on this platform? If nobody maintains the
program, let them remove it, but do not have users using applications that do
not work properly and on the part of the developers there is a total lack of
interest and laziness in trying to solve them. EIGHT YEARS

[kmail2] [Bug 470692] New: Address book: Add multiple addresses at the same time

2023-06-06 Thread Rafael Linux User
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=470692

Bug ID: 470692
Summary: Address book: Add multiple addresses at the same time
Classification: Applications
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.23.1
  Platform: openSUSE
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: rafael.linux.u...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Please could you implement a simple way to add to the address book the items
that will make up the address book? I mean, right now you have to add ONE BY
ONE each of the people who are going to be part of the group, instead of
allowing you to select several addresses and add them all at once.

Both Thunderbird and other clients have had this possibility for many versions
and I was surprised that KMail does not have this possibility.

Thanks

[kmail2] [Bug 457710] New: Messages stays forever in "pending to send" folder

2022-08-10 Thread Rafael Linux User
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=457710

Bug ID: 457710
Summary: Messages stays forever in "pending to send" folder
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.20.90
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: commands and actions
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: rafael.linux.u...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a message and click in "Send"

OBSERVED RESULT
Messages stays in "pending to send" (sorry, I'm translating from my Spanish
version, so not the exact folder name)

EXPECTED RESULT
To send immediately message (as always)

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20220807
KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.96.0
Qt Version: 5.15.5
Kernel Version: 5.18.15-1-default (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz
Memory: 15.5 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060/PCIe/SSE2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
When I launch kmail from console and in context menu over "pending to send" I
select "Send messages in queue" after 5 or 10 seconds appear message
"org.kde.pim.mailtransportakonadi: Item doesn't have DispatchModeAttribute."
for each pending message.

Meanwhile, after a lot of work trying to find a workaround, I needed to install
Thunderbird, that as I guessed, have no problem sending messages.

[korganizer] [Bug 423791] New: Deleting a Caldav calendar also deletes it on the server

2020-07-02 Thread Rafael Brandmaier
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=423791

Bug ID: 423791
Summary: Deleting a Caldav calendar also deletes it on the
server
   Product: korganizer
   Version: 5.14.2
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: rafael.brandma...@kdemail.net
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When you delete a Caldav calendar, the calendar will also be deleted from the
server. This is not expected behaviour, as these types of calendars are usually
used to synchronize them on multiple clients. So deleting the calendar in a
client like KOrganizer should only remove the local files and subscription to
the Caldav server, but should not affect the server at all. If I wanted to
delete the calendar from the server, I would do that in the servers interface.

Even if the functionality to delete calendars from the server is intended, this
needs to made very clear in the UI. Currently, the confirmation dialog is the
same as for local calendars and does not imply the calendar will be permanently
removed from the server.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Right click on a Caldav calendar, select the deletion option.
2. Confirm the non-specific dialog that appears.

OBSERVED RESULT
The calendar is deleted from KOrganizer, but also from the server.

EXPECTED RESULT
Only the local data is deleted and the subscription to the server is removed.
The data on the server however should remain untouched.

[kmail2] [Bug 397756] New: setting gmail trash folder does not work

2018-08-22 Thread Rafael Kitover
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397756

Bug ID: 397756
Summary: setting gmail trash folder does not work
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.8.3
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: commands and actions
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: rkito...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

When I set the trash folder for a gmail account to the Gmail/Trash folder,
trying to delete emails hangs, akonadi has to be fsck'd and restarted.

For gmail accounts, it should probably not try to move the messages to trash
since gmail will put them there automatically.

2018-08-22 Thread Rafael Kitover

Bug ID: 397755

OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org

  Target Milestone: ---

I followed some recommendations I found in a forum to get Archive to work in
Gmail.

I set the Archive folder type to Unique and I set the "Gmail/All Mail" folder
as the archive folder.

Unfortunately this screws up Akonadi, and the only way to fix it is to turn off
archiving, do an akonadictl fsck and akonadictl restart.

[korganizer] [Bug 397673] New: google authorization does not open browser

2018-08-20 Thread Rafael Kitover

Bug ID: 397673
Summary: google authorization does not open browser
   Product: korganizer
   Version: 5.8.3
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: rkito...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

When adding a google account in korganizer, there is a dialog with the
authorization URL but no browser window. I have browser set to firefox in KDE
settings, but this shouldn't matter because kmail opens a Dolphin window for
this.

When I paste the URL into firefox and authorize akonadi, the dialog disappears
and the account is added, but there are no instructions to do this.

I would suggest instead of this dialog, the app should launch any browser for
the google authorization page.

I have this problem in kmail 5.8.3, Gentoo 17.1 KDE profile, exactly as
described.

Richard: you may need to enable "Configure Kmail" -> Security -> Allow messages
to load external references
for the folder option to be available.

Knotes 16.12.0-1.1 - OpenSUSE Tumbleweed

After my OpenSUSE Tumbleweed last update, KNotes show me I have no notes (I had
about twenty notes). Before this problem, the only issue was that I need to
close and start Knotes just after login in KDE to get Knotes to show my notes
and the number of notes.

But now, I can't get my notes in anyway.

Please, I need to recover my notes.

After upgrading to KDE 5.24.0, all my notes appears filling my (two) monitors,
tiled. They all:
- Have a black background
- The text remains black, so no legible text at all.
- Font title is not default (now is "!Y2KBUG" font, the very first of installed
fonts.
- Moving a note is not smooth, but doing "jumps" from the point of title bar
I'm clicking on.

If I change background and text color of one note, they are only changing after
I close and launch again Knotes.

Usually, I need to close and launch again Knotes to make it to load notes. In
other case, is like there were no notes.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Launch Knotes

Actual Results:
All notes are visible, tiled, with black background and uncontrollable on
dragging.

Expected Results:
To show notes like default config.

KNotes includes collections now. After migrating from previous version, I had
two collections ("Notes" and "Notas" - spanish word for "Notes"). Now I have
THREE collections, I don't know how to manage them, delete them, etc. Moreover,
when I receive a note from other desktop, Knotes ask me where to store the
note, but in the selection windows do not appear any collection to select.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Migrate to Knotes latest version

Actual Results:
I have two collections ("Notes" and "Notas" - and now even a third collection).

Expected Results:
Automatically merge collections or let user to manage them (delete, merge or
create collections).

I use Knotes basically as a LAN private messenger, so we can't now use it in
that way.

When receiving a new note (from other user in a LAN) or creating a new one, the

not very usefull to work in this way.

KNotes 4.13.2
The "easy way" to confirm this bug: Sending a note to ourself.
1. Disable firewall (to be sure is not a firewall problem)
2. Create a note with KNote
3. Right button on that note and select "Send (to)" in contextual menu.
4. It should appear our name and server name. Select that line.
5. Click "Accept".

¿Did you received the note?
Me neither. However, this bug is still "UNCONFIRMED"

When I was a WinXXX user, a basic tool for collaboration at my work was
ATNotes. It let us to send each other notes. Knotes was doing a good job on it,
even letting us send notes to ATNotes and viceversa. ATNotes had
(http://atnotes.free.fr) a more practical way that let us add users, and even
show if they was online or not (http://atnotes.free.fr/images/snap6.jpg)

So, I think that is a "must have" to make a better KNotes for all of us.

Thank you

2014-04-28 Thread Rafael
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=333989

Bug ID: 333989
Summary: KNotes data migration fails when upgrading KDE 4.12
to KDE 4.13
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: knotes
   Version: 4.13.0
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: critical
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: rmr...@gmail.com
CC: myr...@kde.org

Despite you accept to migrate notes when KDE ask about it, finally, old notes
doesn't appear.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade from KDE 4.12 to KDE 4.13
2. Reboot
3. On a window asking about to what to do with all notes, I click on "Migrate"
(instead "Clean" or "Cancel" options)
4. No messages or windows appear saying nothing bad or good about that
migration

Actual Results:
Old Knotes notes are lost

Expected Results:
Old KNotes notes restored and accesible.

I even select "All collections" and activate them (I only have one
"Collection") after the migration was not working and new Knotes working.

Bug ID: 333773
Summary: Why is not implemented a direct access to Exchange
account?
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.12.4
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR

  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: rmr...@gmail.com

I'm behind a proxy and have an email account on a Zimbra server.
Thru Android, is possible to get access to my Zimbra account.
There is a plugin for Evolution email client (EWS Exchange Connector) that let
me access easily to Exchange server too.
But for Kmail, I need an independent software (davmail) to get access to my
Zimbra account.
Will you create an easy and less resource consumer way (integrated with KMail)
to access Exchange accounts?

Thank you

Reproducible: Didn't try

[kleopatra] [Bug 333310] Can't import PFX certificates (Firefox and Chrome does)

2014-04-11 Thread Rafael
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10

This is for Firefox Winxxx, but it is the same for Linux (in my case,
OpenSUSE). You can put extension .pfx or .p12, is equivalent.
http://blog.ksoftware.net/2011/07/exporting-your-code-signing-certificate-to-a-pfx-file-from-firefox/

Interesting if you want to know more about:

PFX files are PKCS#12 Personal Information Exchange Syntax Standard files. They
can include arbitrary number of private keys with accompanying X.509
certificates (public keys) and a Certificate Authority Chain (IIS accepts only
.pfx files)

On the other hand, a ".cert" (or ".cer" or ".crt") file usually contains a
single certificate, alone and without any wrapping (no private key, no password
protection, just the certificate).

CER files: CER file is used to store X.509 certificate. Normally used for SSL
certification to verify and identify web servers security. The file contains
information about certificate owner and public and private certificate keys. A
CER file can be in binary (ASN.1 DER) or encoded with Base-64 with header and
footer included (PEM).

PFX files Personal Exchange Format, is a PKCS12 file. This contains a variety
of cryptographic information, such as certificates, root authority
certificates, certificate chains and private keys. It’s cryptographically
protected with passwords to keep private keys private and preserve the
integrity of the root certificates.

A workaround to this Kleopatra issue is to extract from PFX only the private
key:
openssl pkcs12 -in container_pass_protected.pfx -out cert_wo_pass.crt -nokeys
-clcerts

2014-04-11 Thread Rafael
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10

Usually, you can download it from a Certificate Provider. It's installed on
your browser. Then you can export (with or without password) to a PFX file
(from that browser, Firefox, in this case). "Et voilá". Chrome does support to
import the same ".pfx" certificate files too.

I wish I answered your question.

I have fixed it (at least for me) by stopping Kmail/Kontact and so, and then
stopping Akonadi:
$ akonadictl stop
Then, I have renamed ~/.local/share/akonadi:
$ mv ~/.local/share/akonadi ~/.local/share/akonadi-old
Finally, I started all again and now it works.

The same is happening to me and my fellows. I'm using KDE 4.11.2 (in Kubuntu,
kdepim version 4:4.11.2-0ubuntu1). Has anybody found a fix for this annoying
bug?

Thanks!

This occasionally happens to me when I start the computer. IMAP akonadi
resources fail to go online, and stay offline until I manually restart the
akonadi server (the akonadiconsole doesn't do it for me). The "go online" link
in kmail doesn't do anything.

This is a new behaviour in 4.10.

I'm using OpenSUSE 12.3.
