[kleopatra] [Bug 472056] accessiblevaluelabel.cpp fails to build with Clang 16

2023-07-07 Thread Raphael Kubo da Costa
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=472056

--- Comment #1 from Raphael Kubo da Costa ---
Actually this is unrelated to C++17, it's just Clang 16 being stricter and
pointing out invalid code (even if I manually make it build that file in C++14
mode, for example).

[kleopatra] [Bug 472056] New: accessiblevaluelabel.cpp fails to build with Clang 16 and C++17

2023-07-07 Thread Raphael Kubo da Costa
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=472056

Bug ID: 472056
Summary: accessiblevaluelabel.cpp fails to build with Clang 16
and C++17
Classification: Applications
   Product: kleopatra
   Version: git master
  Platform: Other
OS: All
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: aheine...@gnupg.org
  Reporter: rak...@freebsd.org
CC: kdepim-bugs@kde.org, m...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

See the whole build log here:
https://pkg-status.freebsd.org/beefy18/data/main-amd64-default/p12211587418a_see8b0c436d/logs/kleopatra-23.04.2.log

The actual error is

src/accessibility/accessiblevaluelabel.cpp:21:48: error: integer value
65536 is outside the valid range of values [0, 65535] for the enumeration type
'Role' [-Wenum-constexpr-conversion]
static constexpr QAccessible::Role ValueRole =
static_cast(QAccessible::UserRole + 1);

which comes from Clang 16 defaulting to using C++17 instead of C++14 and
throwing a bunch of new errors on code that used to work.

[Bug 303341] New: There should be a keyboard shortcut for changing the Sent-Mail folder

2012-07-10 Thread Raphael Kubo da Costa
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=303341

Bug ID: 303341
  Severity: wishlist
   Version: Git (master)
  Priority: NOR
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
Summary: There should be a keyboard shortcut for changing the
Sent-Mail folder
Classification: Unclassified
OS: FreeBSD
  Reporter: rak...@freebsd.org
  Hardware: Compiled Sources
Status: NEW
 Component: composer
   Product: kmail2

I try to use the mouse as little as possible, and being able to avoid it while
writing email is especially important. I also tend to use the Sent-Mail
feature a lot, so that the messages I send are properly stored in the
directories I want.

However, it is currently not possible to set the Sent-Mail folder using the
keyboard -- if I just cycle through the elements in the composer with Tab and
try using Enter on the little folder button, nothing happens, and I cannot type
something in the input box with the Sent-Mail folder name.

I then went to Settings-Configure Shortcuts, and the only Sent-Mail-related
shortcut available said Sent-Mail folder, but it actually just toggles
whether that field is shown on the composer or not.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the composer to write a new message
2. Go to View and make sure Sent-Mail folder is checked
3. Try changing its value with the keyboard
Actual Results:
Nothing happens.

Expected Results:
I am able to launch the dialog that allows me to change the Sent-Mail folder
with the keyboard.

I tried to compile with make DEBUG=-g install clean

As mentioned in the original FreeBSD PR, the correct way to build the port with
debug symbols is to pass WITH_DEBUG=1 to make. Please rebuild akonadi and
preferrably at least qt4-corelib with debug symbols, then use 'thr apply all
bt' in gdb to get the needed backtraces (you can paste them here instead of
using pastie if you prefer).

I have an IMAP folder with mails from one of KDE's mailing lists. I clicked the
Folder menu, chose Mailing List Management... and enabled the Folder holds
a mailing list checkbox.

If I then go to the Message menu and choose New Message to Mailing List...
(or use the Ctrl+Shift+N shortcut), nothing happens. However, if I disable the
Folder holds a mailing list checkbox again, both the menu action and the
shortcut launch the composer dialog.

Reproducible: Always

- Choose a folder and associate a mailing list to it (Folder - Mailing List

- Use Ctrl+Shift+N or go to Message - New Message to Mailing List...

Actual Results:
Nothing happens.

The composer dialog would be launched with the mailing list address (and other
data, I don't really know).

I've just experienced this same problem and was able to reproduce the crash --
it happens every time I try to enter the IMAP folder with the conflicting
message in KMail2.

[Bug 273000] New: Mail check progress bar is always at 0% while checking

2011-05-10 Thread Raphael Kubo da Costa
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=273000

Summary: Mail check progress bar is always at 0% while checking
   Product: kmail2
   Version: Git (master)
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: FreeBSD
Status: NEW
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: commands and actions
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: kub...@gmail.com

Version: Git (master) (using Devel)
OS:FreeBSD

These are kdepimlibs 04ee64e, kdepim-runtime bd57e66, kdepim 6665f00 and
akonadi fc57f8c.

When KMail checks one IMAP account of mine, the progress bar that is shown when
I click the blue arrow in the bottom right in the status bar is always stuck at
0% while KMail shows it is going through all my IMAP folders. After all folders
were checked, the progress bar jumps to 100% and shows Ready before
disappearing.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
- Add an IMAP account;
- Check your mail;
- Click the blue arrow at the bottom right of the window to watch the progress
of the check.

Actual Results:
The folders are checked, but progress is always at 0%.

Expected Results:
The progress bar should be filled as each folder is checked.

In fact, if I only re-check the IMAP folder I am currently in, the progress bar
says Syncing collection and also stays at 0% until it jumps right to 100%.

This shows up as fixed in the reporting assistant. Is this indeed fixed and
 propertly backprted?

Yes, this has been fixed, but on 4.4.10.

Hi Javier,

This bug is likely to be related to you having installed OpenSSL from the ports
tree -- QtNetwork correctly uses it instead of the older OpenSSL from the base
system, however it somehow ends up calling some function from base's OpenSSL,
thus causing this crash.

You can either deinstall OpenSSL from ports, or make sure /usr/local/lib is
listed before /usr/lib in LD_LIBRARY_PATH. We (the KDE on FreeBSD team) are
still working on a better way to solve the issue. If you have further questions
about this, please mail us at kde-free...@kde.org

Do you still experience this crash? If so, can you post a new backtrace after
compiling the port (and probably kdelibs4 as well) with WITH_DEBUG=1?

[Bug 262033] Focus on the 'Move Messages to Folder' dialog should always be on the folder list initially

Hmm, I'm now on 6c6f567 (using Oxygen) and still experience the same problem.

An easier to reproduce it is to select one message, type 'M', type something
like 'aa' and the click the Cancel button. The next time 'M' is typed, the
focus is on the Cancel button.

[Bug 262033] New: Focus on the 'Move Messages to Folder' dialog should always be on the folder list initially

2011-01-03 Thread Raphael Kubo da Costa
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=262033

Summary: Focus on the 'Move Messages to Folder' dialog should
always be on the folder list initially
   Product: kmail2
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: FreeBSD
Status: NEW
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: kub...@gmail.com

Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS:FreeBSD

This is kdepim on a167c3e642cc1e974c69b5031d2b36e1f1cff8f1.

When I'm on the message list, have at least one message select and type 'M',
the 'Move Messages to Folder' dialog is shown. The focus is on the folder list,
so I can start typing the name of a folder and have it automatically selected.
After I press Enter and effectively move the messages to a different folder, if
I type 'M' again to move other messages, the focus is still on the 'OK' button
instead of being on the folder list, so if I type the name of a folder it is
not selected. Additionally, if I type 'Esc', the next time I press 'M' the
Cancel button is focused.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
* Select at least one message.
* Press 'M' so the 'Move Messages to Folder' dialog is shown.
* Type part of the name of a folder.
* Press Enter to move the messages to the new folder.
* Select at least one message.
* Press 'M' again.
* Notice the focus is on the OK button.

Actual Results:
* When one starts typing the name of a folder, it is not selected, nor is the
list filtered.

Expected Results:
* The list should be filtered as the user types the name of a folder.

SVN commit 1210953 by rkcosta:

Backport g4cb6e7c by Olivier Trichet (made to the master branch) to 4.4.

Crash when unsubscribing from a newsgroup

The event loop was reentered and the KNCollectionViewItem being deleted
was reaccessed to update the display.
Worked around: hide the item before deleting it.

FWIW, akonadi is enterprise5.0-20101203-13-g446e74a, kdepimlibs is r1206271 and
kdepim is r1206271 (both trunk).

From your build error message, libical _is_ being found.

This problem is caused because a function in libical has had its signature
changed in version 0.46, which was released after KDE SC 4.5.1. A fix for this
has already been committed, and will be available in the next stable release.

Meanwhile, you can apply this commit:

For some reason, it seems that kmkernel is still set to 0 when called from
MiscPageFolderTab::MiscPageFolderTab, thus causing the crash.

I'm reassigning from Kontact to Kmail as it seems to make more sense (please
reassign it back to Kontact if it doesn't).

[Bug 198244] New: Add option not to open any message when entering a folder

2009-06-28 Thread Raphael Kubo da Costa
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=198244

Summary: Add option not to open any message when entering a
folder
   Product: kmail
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: kub...@gmail.com

Version: svn r988791 (using Devel)
OS:Linux
Installed from:Compiled sources

Currently, all three choices for the When entering a folder option imply that
a message will be opened.

When selecting one of the first two choices, an unread/new message will be
opened and marked as read. When selecting the last choice, I may have read a
message and marked it as unread; the next time I open that folder, the message
will be opened and marked as read again.

Ultimately, I'd like a way to just list the messages in a folder without
risking marking a message I intentionally left unread as read automatically.

[Bug 196440] New: No checkbox to enable/disable KJots in Kontact's Settings

2009-06-13 Thread Raphael Kubo da Costa
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=196440

Summary: No checkbox to enable/disable KJots in Kontact's
Settings
   Product: kontact
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: unspecified
Status: NEW
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: kub...@gmail.com

Version:(using Devel)

kdepim rev981638

Currently, when I open Kontact's Settings dialog each program has a checkbox
next to its name to quickly enable and disable it inside Kontact.

However, there's no such checkbox next to KJots (Notebook). If I click it in
the treeview, I can indeed check/uncheck the Enable component checkbox that
shows up on the right, but it doesn't change anything (the Apply button doesn't
even change its state) and KJots is always enabled.
