They are never on at the same time. Yesterday I asked my boss to send me an important mail again, because I could not find it, and I received it on my work pc. Later I went home and I turned on my pc and I noticed that the mail wasn't in my inbox, even after a manual sync. Today I turned on my work pc and I clearly saw that mail just after starting kmail, but after few seconds the mail disappeared. I looked for it with a search, but it was completely expunged.
