[Akonadi] [Bug 283682] KMail duplicates filtered messages
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=283682 Roger Larsson <roger.lars...@e-gatan.se> changed: What|Removed |Added CC||roger.lars...@e-gatan.se --- Comment #201 from Roger Larsson <roger.lars...@e-gatan.se> --- I have also seen this (and my wife on her setup - similar to mine) and I wonder if some of this is due to the huge number of options and the more complex environment. I want to be able to read mails both on my computer and on my mobile. I want the computer to be the primary storage of my mails. POP/IMAP account - using IMAP for both Computer - copied new messages locally using filters into correct folder - filters that mark a message, resulted in two copies (one shadow - not readable) the updated state could be seen from mobile too... - had "download for offline processing" enabled (trying with it off now) noticed that it - push on - recheck 5 minutes ... I wonder if my settings caused numerous rereads, store on disk with different generations of each mail... -rw-r--r-- 1 roger users 4589 11 mar 00.20 /home/roger/.local/share/akonadi/file_db_data/99/822899_r0 -rw-r--r-- 1 roger users 4100 6 apr 18.29 /home/roger/.local/share/akonadi/file_db_data/99/827899_r61 -rw-r--r-- 1 roger users 6372 6 apr 18.29 /home/roger/.local/share/akonadi/file_db_data/99/828199_r1360 -rw-r--r-- 1 roger users 4348 6 apr 18.30 /home/roger/.local/share/akonadi/file_db_data/99/831799_r1359 -rw-r--r-- 1 roger users 4126 6 apr 18.30 /home/roger/.local/share/akonadi/file_db_data/99/833599_r61 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[kmail2] [Bug 343474] New: password popup after failed contact, no more checks will be attemted
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=343474 Bug ID: 343474 Summary: password popup after failed contact, no more checks will be attemted Product: kmail2 Version: 4.14.4 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: roger.lars...@e-gatan.se Whenever kmail fails to retrieve a mail it expects that you got the wrong password and popsup a window for you to enter the correct one. In my experience wrong password is the most unlikely reason... There are also several design desicions in this that makes it difficult for end users (like my mother or my wife. YES happened to both of them...) - popup might be hidden, user press check mail, nothing happens - at least it should move on top. - there are some risk that a completely unrelated password gets entered (or some other random text) A popup is fine but - show status bar in kmail - retry login at all checks - let the popup contain other possible reasons for failure (DNS, server down - ping), let password be a non changeable field unless you click Password changed on server but I forgot to change it here... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Check mail (manually or wait for automatic) [server answer could not login, busy?] - popup 2. send a mail to one of the checked accounts 3. Check mail (manually or wait for automatic) - no mail arrives 4. Close popup 5. Check mail - mail arrives Actual Results: 3. No mail is received Expected Results: 1. The popup is fine (but the password could be a bit more protected from accidental overwriting) 3. Retries with the given password, mail is received -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 291424] New: akonadi_nepomuk_email_feeder unresponsible kmail2 caused by continously writes to agent_config_akonadi_nepomuk_email_feeder_changes.dat?
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=291424 Summary: akonadi_nepomuk_email_feeder unresponsible kmail2 caused by continously writes to agent_config_akonadi_nepomuk_email_feeder_changes.dat? Product: Akonadi Version: 4.7 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: roger.lars...@e-gatan.se Version: 4.7 OS:Linux My kmail2 is very unresponsive - klicking on an email to show causes long waits. Up to minutes. Only related reason I can notice is that akonadi_nepomuk_email_feeder continously writes to agent_config_akonadi_nepomuk_email_feeder_changes.dat (about 50 MB/s) When trying to open mails it also reads but at a very slow rate about 5 kB/s Viewing mbox files is faster than maildir (maildir is unusable slow - minutes or ever...)
