Since the connection is encrypted (https) it is a bit difficult to send a wireshark dump, but I clearly see on the apache side that all PROPFIND requests are made without credentials: I only see 401 requests. Kmail 4.14.0 on archlinux x86_64. I've looked at the akonadi db with the akonadi console and I DON'T have the duplicated folder. A few days ago I've solved the very same problem deleting all the akonadi folders and reconfiguring the account, but now I'm stuck with this problem again. Restarting akonadi doesn't have any result... I'm still stuck on Retreiving folder content. On the akonadi console, I see a run with is running and doesn't progress: its type is IncidenceFetchJob and it seems it's waiting for a child (type CollectionFetchJob) which IS finished (state: ended). While I open without problems the most part of them, some are problematic. When I click on the message to get the preview on those messages, kmail crashes. The message is stil marked as not read when I restart kmail. I think that something is not correct in the body of the message, as even thuderbird doesn't show me the content of the tnef attachment; It doesn't crash, anyway. If I save the winmail.dat file (from tbird) and decode with the tnef command, I get the attachments. I don't know is it's relevant, but the message is stored on a local maildir. Obviously this is not a secure solution, because everyone can read your password from the config file, but is surely more convenient than rewrite username and password each time (and for some aspects more secure, because it's easier than someone read your password when you're writing it). Personally I use this solution also with gmail-plasmoid, which remembers username and password in its configuration file (unfortunately in plain text). For another personal folder it may be as well convenient to have a permanent filter by status Important and so on... N.B. I filed this in wishlist because a.t.m. if I e.g. filter the incoming folder by unread then I have to switch a minute to read another mail in different folder and I come back to the Incoming folder, the filter by status unread gets forgiven. I have to remark the opportunity to add such a feture, because too often, for one reason or another (e.g. #1# the message carries an header with sent date wrongly set in year 2000 or before. #2# the unread message gets nested in a group by thread/by subject) the unread emails get really unread forever (if one keep an Incoming folder big enough and doesn't see the messages clearly as unread)!!
