[Bug 293211] New: Accepting an invitation moves mail to trash
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=293211 Summary: Accepting an invitation moves mail to trash Product: kmail2 Version: 4.8 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: pra...@kvirc.net Version: 4.8 OS:Linux When I click Accept on an invitation the automatic reply is sent and the mail disappears from the viewer in that it was currently open and from its folder. It turns out that for some reason it's moved to the trash folder. So I decided to move the message back manually from trash to the right folder. After some time (minutes?) the original messages seems to have reappeared and now I have two copies of the invitation in the original folder. I suppose that it's some trick related to the invitation reply being sent and the modification of the message body. And this is with nepomuk disabled (why the email feeder is running?). This doesn't happen only when checking mail. It happens also when a random folder is opened or even when kmail doesn't seem to do anything useful (or it's not even running). If I look at akonadiconsole while the CPU usage is high I see that there is a very huge traffic between the components. [Bug 283037] Unable to connect to akonadi after laptop resume
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=283037 --- Comment #29 from Szymon Stefanek 2011-12-12 06:46:41 --- I've managed to view some of the emails by killing the mixedmail resource and (re)starting it manually in the console several times. >From this I've figured out that the mixedmail resource gets stuck on something. Once I start it kmail shows the messages. Then I browse around the folders to display random messages: after several clicks it starts slowing down and after a few more it gets stuck totally. From that point on no more messages are viewable (even the ones that were visible before can't be viewed). When the bug is triggered (that is kmail displays the "Retrieving Folder Contents" message for the first time) the resource stays quiet for some seconds and then spits out a lot of messages similar to this one: akonadi_mixedmaildir_resource_1(8900)/akonadiresource (maildir) RetrieveItemsJob::Private::fetchChangedResult: Store fetch for changed item "1323661243.R144.spyro" in collection -869 , "" did not return the expected item. error= 102 , "Given folder name is empty" akonadi_mixedmaildir_resource_1(8900)/akonadiresource (maildir): "Given folder name is empty" collection: Collection ID: -12556remote ID: "" name: "" url: KUrl("akonadi:?collection=-12556") parent: -869 "" resource: "" rights: QFlags(0x1|0x2|0x4|0x8|0x10|0x20) contents mime type: () CachePolicy: inherit: true interval: -1 timeout: -1 sync on demand: false local parts: () CollectionStatistics: count: -1 unread count: -1 size: -1 akonadi_mixedmaildir_resource_1(8900)/akonadiresource (maildir) RetrieveItemsJob::Private::fetchChangedResult: Store fetch for changed item "1323661243.R175.spyro" in collection -869 , "" did not return the expected item. error= 102 , "Given folder name is empty" >From that point the resource is stuck. The error messages from a previous mail suggest that it doesn't answer at all to DBUS queries. I haven't found a clear and systematic way to reproduce the issue. Earlier I've reproduced it by opening a specific folder and clicking an email inside it. But then after a restart the same action didn't trigger the problem. However it might be something related to timing. In particular I can trigger it very easily shortly after the akonadi server and mysql have been restarted. This is possibly because the caches are empty and take time to be filled. After I kill and restart the mixedmail resource several times, however, the bug hits less and less until I can browse all my folders and view all my messages. [Bug 261645] Assert when changing the default theme [MessageList::Core::ModelPrivate::applyFilterToSubtree MessageList::Core::Model::setFilter MessageList::Core::Widget::statusSelected ]
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=261645 Szymon Stefanek changed: What|Removed |Added CC||pra...@kvirc.net --- Comment #8 from Szymon Stefanek 2011-04-18 23:40:19 --- Unfortunately I no longer have the devel source tree set up so I can't test/fix it directly. However the problems is exactly the one described in comment #5 by Sergio. Filters and disconnected-UI jobs don't go together. I agree that it's a bit messy. The key point for disconnected-UI was performance. I'm not sure if this is still really needed as the Qt model-view implementation has probably improved in the meantime. Some testing would be needed. However. Disconnecting the UI means "not telling the model-view framework that single items are being inserted" and later (when UI is reconnected) declaring layoutChanged() at once. Filters, however, use QTreeView::setRowHidden() so the view must be "aware" of the items being inside it. Disconnected UI jobs are usually very short but they can still be interrupted: inside Model::viewItemJobStepInternal() there is a path that returns control to the event loop with mModelForItemFunctions left to 0. Two possible solutions: - If a filter has to be applied when a disconnected UI job is running, reconnect the UI (and remove the disconnected-UI flag from the job). This means moving the UI reconnection code from Model::viewItemJobStepInternal() to its own function and calling it in two places. - Reconnect the UI as soon as a job with disconnected UI is interrupted (or finishes, as it is now). This is simpler as it can be done entirely inside Model::viewItemJobStepInternal() but it possibly reduces the performance a bit (?). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 174839] kmail crashes while deleting single selected mails
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=174839 --- Comment #22 from Szymon Stefanek 2009-03-09 18:42:08 --- I guess there has been some confusion on the fix of this bug. The (real) fix has been committed to trunk on 3.3.2009 (rev 934415). It has been backported to the 4.2 branch on 4.3.2009 (rev 935089). The line nubmers reported in the backtrace don't seem to belong to current trunk (for instance, line 3788 does NOT contain a call to qFatal()). Specifically your line numbers seem to relate to revision 934328 which is before 934415. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[Bug 174839] kmail crashes while deleting single selected mails
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=174839 --- Comment #20 from Szymon Stefanek 2009-03-09 17:30:13 --- Is this the latest KDE svn trunk ? If it is then the bug should be reopened. If it isn't then the bug should stay closed :) The "Installed: (none)" thing looks like an apt related problem. You should ask on an ubuntu-specific forum. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[Bug 174839] kmail crashes while deleting single selected mails
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=174839 --- Comment #14 from Szymon Stefanek 2009-03-03 02:09:11 --- SVN commit 934415 by stefanek: Possibly really fix the message deletion Q_ASSERT() bug. Theory says that the assert shouldn't be possible and I really want to enforce this (since if I don't, I'll start loosing control over what happens). It turns out that deleting at least three levels of messages at once *could* lead to the assert to be triggered when the deletes happened in a particular order. Now it shouldn't be possible anymore.
