[Akonadi] [Bug 435427] akonadi_imap_resource: segfault on authentication
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435427 --- Comment #3 from Thiago Jung Bauermann --- This crash just happened again, with the exact same backtrace. The last time it happened was when I added my previous comment to this bug. Again, the machine was idle for a long while (about 1h30m), but it didn't go to sleep this time. The common factor seems to be the machine being idle for a while. Perhaps there's a bug when periodic mail check is triggered while the screensaver is active? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

This just happens by itself (during periodic mail check, I would assume). It has happened a couple of times. This last time the machine was idle for a while and it went to sleep. I use KMail via the Kontact app. 2. I read a few messages in my Inbox, and moved a couple of them to other folders. 3. I individually refreshed the Inbox and also these other two folders. 4. I replied to one email in one of the other folders. 5. After the email was successfuly sent, I refreshed that folder as well as the Sent folder. 6. I closed Kontact. 7. Kontact crashed. Also, as an aside my email is hosted on KolabNow and I configured KMail to access it with the Akonadi Kolab resource. My backtrace isn't identical to the one in this report, but almost. I would wager it's the same issue. Unfortunately the Ubuntu crash tool tells me there are no debuginfo packages I can install to improve the quality of the backtrace. [kmail2] [Bug 310428] Problem with adding and removing identities
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=310428 --- Comment #6 from Thiago Jung Bauermann --- I'm currently on KDE 4.14.2. I don't know if it is still reproducible. But my point in comment 4 is that even if it isn't reproducible anymore, many people will still have hundreds of identities because they were affected by this bug in a previous release. The only way to remove the identities is to edit an obscure configuration file. I think it makes sense for current KMail releases to clean that up automatically. The performance degradation in bug 341776 is currently reproducible, and it greatly affects usage of KOrganizer. It's not just showing/hiding resources. Everytime you try to add or edit an event, for instance, you get 100% CPU usage and frozen UI for several tens of seconds. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

It happened a while ago (I still have those hundreds of identities though), so I don't remember what caused it. I think it was a simple upgrade from 4.13 to 4.14, though I'm not sure. It's a great pain to delete them because each time you delete one, all Akonadi-using processes (Kontact, KAlaram, akonadi agents, akonadi resources) use 100% CPU for a while, then they stop and Kontact uses 100% CPU before deleting the identity. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=294320 --- Comment #20 from Thiago Jung Bauermann --- Something interesting happened today, it may be related to this: I was editing a message reply, and the reply window showed a passive notification saying that the semantic desktop was't enabled (I don't remember the exact words), but it wen't away quickly. At that moment I noticed that virtuoso and akonadi_nepomuk_feeder were having a CPU/disk usage spike. I don't know which came first, if it was the notification or the usage spike. Right now (much later) I'm testing address completion in the "To" field and it can find some contacts in my address book but not all. When it can't find the contact in the addressbook, it shows as "contacts found in your files" ("in Ihren Daten gefundene Kontakte"). Both are recurring. Inspecting them with akonadi console (in the browser tab, using the calendar model), they have three things in common: - the "DateTime start" column for them is blank, - the "DateTime end" column shows the date that on the google calendar website is shown as the repetiton *start* date, - the raw payload is much smaller than for all other events. This is an example of the raw payload for one of these events: BEGIN:VCALENDAR PRODID:-//K Desktop Environment//NONSGML libkcal 3.2//EN VERSION:2.0 BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTAMP:20130109T152359Z CREATED:20130109T152359Z UID:_8t33it3m8h2lcd2669s6ad9oalmj6chgasp0 LAST-MODIFIED:20130109T152359Z SUMMARY:Limpeza do casco STATUS:CONFIRMED RRULE:FREQ=MONTHLY;UNTIL=21001230T11Z;BYMONTHDAY=8 DTEND:20120708T08 TRANSP:OPAQUE END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR This is with Kubuntu 12.04, KDE 4.9.5 and akonadi_googlecalendar_resource from the kdepim-runtime package version 4:4.9.5-0ubuntu0.1~ubuntu12.04.1~ppa2. [Bug 294215] Maildir resource doesn't see subfolders.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=294215 --- Comment #12 from Thiago Jung Bauermann --- It seems to me that KMail doesn't follow the maildir spec. Hence, I think this bugzilla should be reopened. Or, if it stays as WONTFIX then KMail needs to stop claiming that it supports Maildir. [Bug 294215] Maildir resource doesn't see subfolders.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=294215 Thiago Jung Bauermann changed: What|Removed |Added CC||thiago.bauerm...@gmail.com --- Comment #8 from Thiago Jung Bauermann --- I have the same problem on KDE 4.9 and Akonadi 1.8.0 (Kubuntu packages). The maildir was created with offlineimap as well, with the following configuration: [Repository ltc-local] type = Maildir localfolders = /home/bauermann/trabalho/mail/ltc sep = / My machine with functioning Nepomuk. And in any case, it would be very strange if supporting Maildir subfolders depended on Nepomuk. On a side note, if it is relevant: mail search doesn't work. I search for a keyword I know is in the body of a message and the message doesn't show up (I selected the option to search in body of messages of course). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
