[kmail2] [Bug 359964] "Kmailleaks", or what to improve to make Kmail more privacy friendly.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359964 Thomas Pfeiffer <thomas.pfeif...@kde.org> changed: What|Removed |Added CC||thomas.pfeif...@kde.org --- Comment #8 from Thomas Pfeiffer <thomas.pfeif...@kde.org> --- The User Agent does indeed reveal more information about the sender's system than necessary (why would one need to know which application in which version on which operating system was used to send an email?). Is there anything that speaks against leaving the User-Agent string completely out by default, or maybe reducing it to just "KMail"? Most email clients do send user-agent information by default, but since the sender's user agent does not really have practical relevance in an email (in contrast to a web browser where the server uses it to apply workarounds for specific browsers' shortcomings, for example), we could just be better then others in that regard. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[kontact] [Bug 324664] New: New [something]... has an incorrect label
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=324664 Bug ID: 324664 Summary: New [something]... has an incorrect label Classification: Unclassified Product: kontact Version: 4.11.1 Platform: unspecified OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: colo...@autistici.org Every module of Kontact has a menu entry in File that is labeled New [element corresponding to the module, e.g. message] ... However, clicking it does not create a new element specific to the module. What it does is open a submenu where elements of all kinds supported by Kontact are listed. Therefore, the label does not make sense at all and should be a generic one. Acutally it should be New... but that would conflict with the module-specific New entry that many modules have. [Akonadi] [Bug 318611] New: Folder was indexed date is old even though folder content has changed
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=318611 Bug ID: 318611 Summary: Folder was indexed date is old even though folder content has changed Classification: Unclassified Product: Akonadi Version: 4.10 Platform: Chakra OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: Nepomuk Feeder Agents Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: colo...@autistici.org CC: m...@vhanda.in, vkra...@kde.org According to the Folder was indexed date in the Maintenance tab of folder properties, my IMAP folders don't get indexed even though new emails come in regularly. Some were apparently indexed last a week ago (they receive new mails several times a day), others last month. After I click Fore reindexing, the current date is shown. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Right click on an IMAP folder which is indexed and updated regularly 2. Click Maintenance 3. Look at the Folder was last indexed date Actual Results: Date is old Expected Results: Should be today because the folder content was updated today -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[Bug 305380] KMail window doesn't remember size
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=305380 Thomas Pfeiffer colo...@autistici.org changed: What|Removed |Added CC||colo...@autistici.org --- Comment #2 from Thomas Pfeiffer colo...@autistici.org --- I cannot reproduce the bug here with KDE SC 4.9. Kmail (neither when started seperately nor when started with Kontact). It remembers the window size as well as the column widths and splitter position. Comment from the KDE usability team: However, if it can be reproduced by others, it is a bug that has to be fixed, also from a usability standpoint. There is no reason for not remembering the window geometry for Kmail or Kontact. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
