[korganizer] [Bug 426248] New: kOrganizer is unable to display events with same UID (?) in different calendars

2020-09-06 Thread Tim Schlotfeldt
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426248

Bug ID: 426248
Summary: kOrganizer is unable to display events with same UID
(?) in different calendars
   Product: korganizer
   Version: 5.15.0
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: ts+...@ml.tschlotfeldt.de
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When viewing events with same UID on different calendars then only the event
from one calendar will be displayed.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. create event and invite a person who shares here calendar with you (make it
readable)
2. other person accepts invitation
3. let's display both calendars

OBSERVED RESULT
The event is only on one calendar visible despite the fact both calendars ar
visible. It's changeable by disable one calendar and enable it again.

The reason is maybe that the event has in both calenders the same UID.

EXPECTED RESULT
The event should be displayed on both calenders at the same time.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux 5.15.1 (20.08.1)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
In work and family environments it is common to make calendars readable by
others. It is irritating if events are missing on some calendars.

Same problem here. I don't know since which version but actually KOrganizer
dosn't show any new added event. Other clients (Android, Thunderbird/Lightning)
are working well.

Version: KDE 5.20, Akonadi 5.1.51 on ArchLinux.

DaviCal server. I'am able to see my ressorces:

  https://example.com/caldav.php/

This finds all mein ressources.

But: User B gave mir read access to two of her calenders. These calendars never
showed up. It is also not possible to point akonadi to the ressource by hand.
For example,

  https://example.com/caldav.php/user-b/calender1

wouldn't be accepted by akonadi.

It may works with owncloud but still it doesn't works with DaviCal. And DaviCal
