Before i shut it down it was fetching email but never finished. For a long time kmail would display a blue screen saying wait each time i entered the inbox. Akonadi would always say it is running and everything is reported ok. All function in kmail works until it crashes. This will also happend when you are reading an e-mail as well. What is used is highlighting the e-mail and read it in the preview pan.
