No external service like courier-imap should produce so massive problems by working with Kontact (Suite). After some minutes akonadi stop to work and makes kontact including calendar/todos unusable and need to be restarted like killall -9 kontact; akonadictl stop; akonadictl start. KMail (akonadi_imap) should don't influence other services. Everybody how try to use kontact, kmain, akondi with broken imap (like courier) and don't find this tread, will think kmail (kontact) is broken and buggy software. Note that kontact is a important part of KDE. Nothing is fixed, I have here 4.14.10-2 and akonadi-server 1.13.0-8
