[Bug 264834] New: kmail crashes when deleting all accounts
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=264834 Summary: kmail crashes when deleting all accounts Product: kmail2 Version: 2.0.89 Platform: Compiled Sources OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: g...@netcologne.de Application: kmail (2.0.89) KDE Platform Version: 4.6.41 (4.7 = 20110106) (Compiled from sources) Qt Version: 4.7.1 Operating System: Linux 2.6.37-0.slh.12-aptosid-686 i686 Distribution (Platform): Debian unstable -- Information about the crash: - What I was doing when the application crashed: Because kmail did show the Local Folders folder 5 times in the folder view, I tried to remove all accounts in the settings. There were 2 accounts configured (with different names, but both for checking local maildirs, none of them both configured correctly). I did mark the second entry and removed it. Then I did mark the first account and removed it. After clicking ok in the dialog do you really want to delete..., kmail did crash. I did not try again yet, because I do not want to close this crash reporting assistant and currenty a kmail process is still running, so that I cannot start another one. I will check it again after sending this report. -- Backtrace: Application: KMail (kmail), signal: Aborted [Current thread is 1 (Thread 0xb19d1710 (LWP 4343))] Thread 2 (Thread 0xafcffb70 (LWP 4500)): #0 0xb785b424 in __kernel_vsyscall () #1 0xb4ed5f7f in pthread_cond_wait@@GLIBC_2.3.2 () from /lib/i686/cmov/libpthread.so.0 #2 0xb3615b63 in WTF::TCMalloc_PageHeap::scavengerThread() () from /home/foo/kde/src/qt-kde/lib/libQtWebKit.so.4 #3 0xb361526d in WTF::TCMalloc_PageHeap::runScavengerThread(void*) () from /home/foo/kde/src/qt-kde/lib/libQtWebKit.so.4 #4 0xb4ed1955 in start_thread () from /lib/i686/cmov/libpthread.so.0 #5 0xb4d18e7e in clone () from /lib/i686/cmov/libc.so.6 Thread 1 (Thread 0xb19d1710 (LWP 4343)): [KCrash Handler] #7 0xb785b424 in __kernel_vsyscall () #8 0xb4c77751 in raise () from /lib/i686/cmov/libc.so.6 #9 0xb4c7ab82 in abort () from /lib/i686/cmov/libc.so.6 #10 0xb4f76957 in qt_message_output (msgType=QtFatalMsg, buf=0x8e89078 ASSERT: \refCountMap.contains( id )\ in file /home/foo/kde/src/KDE/kdepimlibs/akonadi/monitor_p.cpp, line 603) at global/qglobal.cpp:2282 #11 0xb4f76b16 in qt_message (msgType=QtFatalMsg, msg=0xb5122d64 ASSERT: \%s\ in file %s, line %d, ap=0xbfa93594 (\262s\266\310\252s\266[\002) at global/qglobal.cpp:2328 #12 0xb4f76f33 in qFatal (msg=0xb5122d64 ASSERT: \%s\ in file %s, line %d) at global/qglobal.cpp:2511 #13 0xb4f764b8 in qt_assert (assertion=0xb673b228 refCountMap.contains( id ), file=0xb673aac8 /home/foo/kde/src/KDE/kdepimlibs/akonadi/monitor_p.cpp, line=603) at global/qglobal.cpp:2027 #14 0xb66a135c in Akonadi::MonitorPrivate::deref (this=0x84f1158, id=6) at /home/foo/kde/src/KDE/kdepimlibs/akonadi/monitor_p.cpp:603 #15 0xb665223b in Akonadi::EntityTreeModelPrivate::deref (this=0x86f8a28, id=6) at /home/foo/kde/src/KDE/kdepimlibs/akonadi/entitytreemodel_p.cpp:1409 #16 0xb6644f6d in Akonadi::EntityTreeModel::setData (this=0x86a0ed0, index=..., value=..., role=53) at /home/foo/kde/src/KDE/kdepimlibs/akonadi/entitytreemodel.cpp:725 #17 0xb66bfc56 in Akonadi::SelectionProxyModelPrivate::rootIndexAboutToBeRemoved (this=0x8901ae8, removedRootIndex=...) at /home/foo/kde/src/KDE/kdepimlibs/akonadi/selectionproxymodel.cpp:59 #18 0xb66bf9b1 in Akonadi::SelectionProxyModel::qt_metacall (this=0x8adbf58, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=1, _a=0xbfa93818) at /home/foo/kde/build/KDE/kdepimlibs/akonadi/selectionproxymodel.moc:76 #19 0xb50a73a4 in QMetaObject::metacall (object=0x8adbf58, cl=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, idx=43, argv=0xbfa93818) at kernel/qmetaobject.cpp:237 #20 0xb50bc310 in QMetaObject::activate (sender=0x8adbf58, m=0xb7847664, local_signal_index=0, argv=0xbfa93818) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3280 #21 0xb7631d8e in KSelectionProxyModel::rootIndexAboutToBeRemoved (this=0x8adbf58, _t1=...) at /home/foo/kde/build/KDE/kdelibs/kdeui/moc_kselectionproxymodel.cpp:147 #22 0xb762cd6b in KSelectionProxyModelPrivate::removeRangeFromProxy (this=0x8a38558, range=...) at /home/foo/kde/src/KDE/kdelibs/kdeui/itemviews/kselectionproxymodel.cpp:1649 #23 0xb762c78e in KSelectionProxyModelPrivate::removeSelectionFromProxy (this=0x8a38558, selection=...) at /home/foo/kde/src/KDE/kdelibs/kdeui/itemviews/kselectionproxymodel.cpp:1591 #24 0xb762dc64 in KSelectionProxyModelPrivate::selectionChanged (this=0x8a38558, _selected=..., _deselected=...) at /home/foo/kde/src/KDE/kdelibs/kdeui/itemviews/kselectionproxymodel.cpp:1836 #25 0xb7631d1f in KSelectionProxyModel::qt_metacall (this=0x8adbf58, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=15, _a=0xbfa93cc4) at /home/foo/kde/build/KDE/kdelibs/kdeui/moc_kselectionproxymodel.cpp:134 #26 0xb66bf94b in
[Bug 264834] kmail crashes when deleting all accounts
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=264834 --- Comment #1 from g111 netcologne de 2011-01-30 12:05:18 --- Currently I cannot test the further behaviour because I cannot start kmail anymore: KMail encountered a fatal error and will terminate now. The error was: Could not create collection I think I have to delete the kmail settings of my test account? Or akonadi or something? (Or has it been changed already to Action Item?) Only one thing with Action Item: When I had read this the first time, I thought it would be something very special for e.g. scripting kmail by perhaps triggering an event or something. So it sounds like it would be more than just a tag. But this might only be a minor problem. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 165248] New: Naming Action Item vs ToDo
--- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=165248 Summary: Naming Action Item vs ToDo Product: kmail Version: 1.9.52 Platform: Compiled Sources OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs kde org ReportedBy: g111 netcologne de Version: 1.9.52 (using KDE 4.0.83) Installed from:Compiled From Sources OS:Linux In the folder view of kmail you can choose to only see mails that are tagged as To Do. For me it was very difficult to find out how to tag a mail as To Do, because the tag is named Action Item. This is inconsistent and should be called To Do, too. Also the feature for adding a message to korganizer via Create To-do/Reminder... is making it difficult to differ between this three things. So my suggestion for naming these is: * Mark Message as To Do * [Filter Status] To Do * Create entry in korganizer... (This issue is related to kmail from KDE 3.5.9 as well) ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
