[akregator] [Bug 189195] no feedback clicking on a link

2016-09-27 Thread gabriele monfardini via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=189195

When you click on a link there is no moving parts even in 5.x but a border
appears around the link.
If network is slow new tabs still take several seconds to appear.
So now it's a little annoyance, no more a real bug

[akregator] [Bug 345747] link is displayed incorrectly (woff fonts are used) and page is not fully visible

2016-09-27 Thread gabriele monfardini via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345747

The bug is still present in akregator 5.1.3 even if a bit better than in 4.x
(attachment added).
Link text overflows on the left, some letters at right border are not visible
(fi. look at "with details shared in public with" in fourth paragraph).
There is also another letter spacing issue in text "Oct 1st, 2014" in 5th
paragraphs.
If you need me to make different text, I'm willing to help.

[akregator] [Bug 368324] New: Using "not read" filter automatically read all articles

2016-09-06 Thread gabriele monfardini via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368324

Bug ID: 368324
Summary: Using "not read" filter automatically read all
articles
   Product: akregator
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: gabrimo...@gmail.com

kubuntu 15.04
akregator 5.1.3
kde framework 5.18.0
qt 5.5.1 (compiled with 5.5.1)

If in a source I use "unread" filter at first it works.
However if I select first unread article to read it, after my configured delay
(1 sec) it is marked as read.
It is then instantly removed (probably this is the fix for bug 117874 "Read
articles not instantly removed if filter is set to 'unread'").
The problem is that then next unread article is automatically selected.
After a second even this article is set to read and disappears and so on.
So after n seconds, all my n articles are marked as read even if I'm still
reading first one.

Spectacularly if I set delay to 0, reading first unread article is the same to
"mark source as read"

Speaking for myself I would prefer that read articles were not instantly
removed if filter is set to 'unread' (old behaviour), since I can see which
article I've read in last source.
In any case, after an article is istantly removed, no article should be
selected.

Right now I cannot use the filter.

[akregator] [Bug 345747] New: link is displayed incorrectly (woff fonts are used) and page is not fully visible

2015-04-01 Thread gabriele monfardini
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345747

Bug ID: 345747
Summary: link is displayed incorrectly (woff fonts are used)
and page is not fully visible
   Product: akregator
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
   URL: http://googleprojectzero.blogspot.it/2015/02/feedback-
and-data-driven-updates-to.html
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: internal browser
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: gabrimo...@gmail.com

The link with text "fixed 37 Project Zero vulnerabilities" in the 4th paragraph
partially overflows into neighbouring words.
Moreover the page is not fully visible, no horizontal bar is shown, however
some letters are missing at the end of lines.

The link is not displayed correctly also in konqueror, albeit the problem is
less severe.
In google chrome the page is displayed correctly, but I would like to use
akregator internal browser.

The page uses woff fonts

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open the page, look at the link with text "fixed 37 Project Zero
vulnerabilities" in the 4th paragraph from the beginning

Actual Results:
Link text overflow in akregator, spacing around the link is incorrect in
konqueror.
Moreover in akregator last letters in some lines are not shown, even if no
horizontal bar is shown

Expected Results:
Link text should be displayed correctly in akregator and in konqueror
Page should be fully visible in akregator

The "open in Background Tab" under Settings > Configure Akregator > Browser >
Left Mouse Click solves my issue of opening tab in the background.

The only issue that remains is that there is no visual feedback of a received
click, that expecially on slow sites would be useful (the background tab may
take a lot to appear and user may have opened several of them).

[Bug 292584] akregator crashes on a post containing a tag with a webm file

2012-01-31 Thread gabriele monfardini

--- Comment #4 from gabriele monfardini 2012-01-31
16:51:59 ---
>There's an installation issue. the Akregator version should also be 4.8.0
>Please fix your installation and retry

This is happened the same day I upgrade to kde 4.8.0, thus akregator
incorrectly reported 4.7.2 but was indeed updated to version 4.8.0.

After rebooting akregator version is 4.8.0, so nothing to fix.

> (and make sure you don't use the phonon-xine backend)

I switched to phonon-gstreamer backend and this indeed solves the issue.
Could you please point me to extra information regarding phonon-xine issue (or
if there is some criteria to choose the backend)?

2012-01-27 Thread gabriele monfardini
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=292584

Summary: akregator crashes on a post containing a tag
with a webm file
   Product: akregator
   Version: 4.7.2
  Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: gabrimo...@gmail.com

Version: 4.7.2 (using KDE 4.8.0)
OS:Linux

Akregator crashes on the following blog post

http://0pointer.de/blog/projects/linuxcon-kernel-panel.html

that contains a tag with a webm file

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. add the blog http://0pointer.de/blog/index.rss20
2. preview the item "Kernel hackers panel" (2011/11/07)

Actual Results:
akregator crashes (in my system without producing an useful stack trace and
without finding debug packages to install)

Expected Results:
The article is previewed (eventually without the video if tag support
is missing)

I'm using akregator and kde from kubuntu-backports ppa

[Bug 292370] New: Add an option to disable flash or to use "click to activate animation"

2012-01-24 Thread gabriele monfardini
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=292370

Summary: Add an option to disable flash or to use "click to
activate animation"
   Product: akregator
   Version: 4.7.2
  Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: gabrimo...@gmail.com

Version: 4.7.2 (using KDE 4.7.4)
OS:Linux

Sites that uses flash animation are very slow.
The ui freezes, scrolling hickups and so on.
Some of my blogs uses flash only for advertising.
It would be nice to be able to disable flash altogether or, better, to adopt a
"click to activate animation" strategy

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
In a perfect world I would click to activate flash animation only when needed
(aka very rarely), so sites will be snappy and bandwith reduced.
The option to always/never/on-request activate flash plugin is settable in
global akregator settings

2011-12-13 Thread gabriele monfardini
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=288875

Summary: Akregator crashes closing a tab
   Product: akregator
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: gabrimo...@gmail.com

Application: akregator (4.7.3)
KDE Platform Version: 4.7.3 (4.7.3)
Qt Version: 4.7.4
Operating System: Linux 3.0.0-14-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 11.10

-- Information about the crash:
Akregator crashes closing a tab.
Meanwhile there was also another tab that was loading. The server was slow to
respond, so I was reading some other posts.
I don't think it is related to the specific rss, that I've read many times
without problems.

Yesterday I upgraded to KDE 4.7.3 in Kubuntu
