[kleopatra] [Bug 426436] Kleopatra: Error message while refreshing OpenGPG keys

You are probably right. I did remove any mention of "debug" in the gpg.conf
file, but the same error message is displayed.

This is my gpg.conf file:

I followed your instructions and started Kleopatra from the command line. I
proceeded to highlight an entry, my own one, and right-click on the item. As
usual, all of the choices were greyed out. I then closed the program. This is
the output displayed.

Every item is greyed out. Even my own key elicits a greyed out response when
right-clicked on. Interestingly enough, I have Kleopatra installed on a Win 10
machine, and it is working perfectly. The problem is specific, in most
likelihood, to FreeBSD. I doubt that reporting it to the Windows community will
help, but I'll give it a try.

[kleopatra] [Bug 415168] New: Kleopatra crashing when looking up id on server

2019-12-14 Thread Gerard Seibert
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=415168

Bug ID: 415168
Summary: Kleopatra crashing when looking up id on server
   Product: kleopatra
   Version: 3.1.8
  Platform: Other
OS: FreeBSD
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: critical
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general

Kleopatra: Version 3.1.8 (19.12.0)

Operating System: FreeBSD 11.3
KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.64.0
Qt Version: 5.13.2
Kernel Version: 11.3-RELEASE-p5
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 4 × ACPI CPU
Memory: 31.7 GiB of RAM

When I open Kleopatra and right-click on an identity, all of the options are
greyed out. If I click on "Lookup on server" and start to enter anything in
the "Find" box, the program immediately crashes. This is the little output
available:

Application: Kleopatra (kleopatra), signal: Segmentation fault
Program terminated with signal ?, Unknown signal.
The program no longer exists.

This virtually useless info is from gdb:

I am not sure what this is set to or how to change it in "claws-mail". I will
investigate further.

[kleopatra] [Bug 368742] New: "The signature can't be checked - Unsupported protocol" with missing Dlls

2016-09-13 Thread Gerard Seibert via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368742

Bug ID: 368742
Summary: "The signature can't be checked - Unsupported
protocol" with missing Dlls
   Product: kleopatra
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: aheine...@intevation.de
  Reporter: gerard.seib...@gmail.com
CC: kdepim-bugs@kde.org, m...@kde.org

Version: Platform Version 4.13.3 on a Windows 10 PRO / 64 bit machine.

I am not sure exactly what is wrong here, so I just assuming it is with
"kleopatra". I am using claws-mail for my MUA.

When I open an email in claws-mail that has a signature, the following error
message pops up at the bottom of the screen:

The signature can't be checked - Unsupported protocol

Next, when I attempt to open that signature file, I receive four error messages
telling me that the following "dll" are missing:

libkleo.dll
libkcmutils.dll
libassuan-0.dll
libkdeui.dll

These "dll"s are actually located in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\GNU\GnuPG"
folder.

How do I correct this problem so those ".dll"s are found. Also, is that the
reason for the error message?

Thanks

Reproducible: Always

[Bug 291407] New: KMail does not show some messages

2012-01-12 Thread gerard
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=291407

Summary: KMail does not show some messages
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.7
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: ger...@delafond.org

Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.3)
OS:Linux

After a DIFFICULT migration from kmail 1 using akonadi, some messages cannot be
displayed (receiving folder contents...Please wait).
It is impossible to delete the messages or to open them in any way.
I am using a stock Ubuntu version.
Some messages I could read are no more readable.
It looks like some messages crash the daemon.

When starting KDE, I have hundreds of messages which say kmail is unable to
write in its folder (but the name of the folder is not displayed).

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
Launch KMail and try to read your messages.

Actual Results:
The titles of the messages are displayed, but not the contents.

Expected Results:
Read the messages

Would like to know a method to export the messages to another mail client,
after more than 10 years using kmail

Well, it does. Akonadi still crashes immediately upon startup. I would love to

Akonadi server crashes moments after attempting to start it. It produces a core
file. I have tried it using both the default setting and with using my own
MySQL settings. It always fails with a warning regarding 'DBUS". This is the
error report using my own configuration for MySQL.
