I have my system language set to english, but my spelling to spanish, since I write spanish almost always. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Set your KDE locale configuration to English, set the spelling settings to Spanish, open Kmail and compose a new message. Check the composer spelling settings, they will be in english.
