[Bug 161483] New: As for so many versions of kmail, messages appear empty
--- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=161483 Summary: As for so many versions of kmail, messages appear empty Product: kontact Version: 1.2.9 Platform: unspecified OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs kde org ReportedBy: jarl yaeda org Version: 1.2.9 (using 3.5.9 "release 60.2" , openSUSE ) Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux OS:Linux (i686) release 2.6.22.17-0.1-default I have experienced this error through so many versions now, I hope it will get fixed soon :-) the problem is, that I select a message on my cyrus IMAP server. When I select it, I of course excpect the message to be shown in the message view but no. Empty message. This error happens relativelly often. I then delete the INBOX data on the file system and starts kmail now it works. There seems to be some corruption between the IMAP server and the local index files. The problem is (and this is beacause I dont know better) that after deleting the entire folder reflecting the IMAP account, I also remove the options like Act on new... etc. this is pretty annoying since it happens as often as it does. Another question to this, is it possible to "reset" the index without deleting these options? (I marked this as crash because if I try to delete the message I cannot view, then kmail crashes) Thanks in regards Jarl E. But if I click on it to restore it again, it is displayed in the taskbar but not on the desktop. If I then click on the icon on the taskbar it is displayed. If I click on ALT+F4 it is minimized to the systray (as wanted) and now, if I click on the systray icon it is successfully restored... I have disabled composite in X11 settings so I'm not running any desktop effects. Thanks in advance! ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

--- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=166126 --- Additional Comments From jarl yaeda org 2008-07-09 13:54 --- It is a bit difficult for me to see if the other bugreports relates to this one. But the problem is not existing for me in the 3.5.x version (I also have 3.5.9 installed) The problem is on KDE4.0.85 only. In fact the thing of a single notification icon was a good idea. I'm really irritated of having akregator, korganizer and kmail. It there not be a single icon counting everything, and if i.e. middleclicked it pops up the list of modules with new items. Then you click on the one you want to activate, kontact opens and displays the selected module. Like the device monitor :-) ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
