If I click on Open mail then my intention is to read its content and discard
the current view in main window, if you don't want to lost your current view
then don't click on notification. The real problem is when Kmail is not
started, Open mail action will opens two windows one with mail content and the
other main window which has no use.

[korganizer] [Bug 436768] New: Cancelling creation of some calendars keeps some of their resources running

2021-05-08 Thread medin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=436768

Bug ID: 436768
   Summary: Cancelling creation of some calendars keeps some of
their resources running
   Product: korganizer
   Version: 5.17.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: med.medin.2...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I you try to add knut calendar, then click on cancel you will find that new
process named akonadi_knut_resource is still running even if you close
KOrganizer or restart akonadi server.
Another weird behavior is that after cancelling the creation of any kind of
calendar (not only knut) there will changes in akonadi
"~/.config/akonadi/agentsrc" file :
in [InstanceCounters] region the counter of cancelled calendar increases even
if creation process was cancelled, and in [Instances] region a new line that
corresponds to the cancelled calendar will be added.

So to fetch feeds, Akgregator should always be opened ? not like what we have
with KMail which can fetch mails in background without needing to to be opened.

It would be great if Akregator could fetch feeds without the need to be opened,
like akonadi background resource that fetch feeds and show notifications when
new feeds arrives. Because having the whole app that consumes over 100 MB in
the background to only fetch feeds is too much.

Try to add a new journal to a day that exists before today, then add other new
journals in the future and you get the bug.

[kleopatra] [Bug 434301] Inconsistent theme

medin  changed:

--- Comment #2 from medin  ---
(In reply to Ingo Klöcker from comment #1)
> That's because for security reasons the passphrase dialog is opened by a

> pinentry (for Qt, GTK, Gnome, etc.). The pinentry in your screenshot doesn't
> look like the Qt one. Make sure that you are using pinentry-qt. See `man
> gpg-agent` for details how to make sure that the correct pinentry is used.

I didn't change any gpg agent, and the file /usr/bin/pinentry contains :
#!/bin/sh
# user-defined pre-exec hook
test -r "${XDG_CONFIG_HOME:-$HOME/.config}"/pinentry/preexec &&
. "${XDG_CONFIG_HOME:-$HOME/.config}"/pinentry/preexec
# site-defined pre-exec hook
test -r /etc/pinentry/preexec &&
. /etc/pinentry/preexec
test -e /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 &&
exec /usr/bin/pinentry-gtk-2 "$@"
exec /usr/bin/pinentry-curses "$@"

And on Kleopatra github page it's stated clearly that : "Pinentry-curses does
not work for Kleopatra"
So the real problem is that Kleopatra on Plasma KDE fails to select the correct
pinentry to use because the program.
Adding manually "pinentry-program /usr/bin/pinentry-qt" to "gpg-agent.conf" is
not user friendly at all.
