It was checked, and the delay was '5 sec'. Now, it is still checked, but with the default value of '0'. I still have the 'conflict resolution box' from times to times, but it's really rare now. kmail is now almost usable. When i click on an attachement (typically a *.txt, image, or ooo file), the right application is opened, but with an empty file. It's very probably the same bug. Sometimes i can solve this by clicking on another message and then on the message i'm interested in. or using 'save all..' in the 'description' subwindow at bottom. Not anymore. It seemed strange, so I opened 'kaddressbook' and (fortunately) all my contacts were still there. I could, btw, copy/paste the one i wanted to write to. On the right of the "To:" field, there is a button 'select', if i click on it, then the list of contact is very small, and contains mostly addresses that i have used very very recently. Definitely not what is found in my kaddressbook. I've been using 4.2.2 for almost one month, and 4.2 since it was out and never had this problem. Also i never changed anything in my configuration (i'm too scared of those 'akonadi' stuff and don't want to loose my data). Either an email in the header or in the mail content. I use 'right-mouse-button'. Kmail proposes to "add to the addressbook" (rough translation, i dont use English here). I have an error box with only one sentence, which translates to "unknown error(unable to list items)" if i try again, then the righ-mouse-button menu proposes "see contact in address book", but if i click on some other folder, and come back, then the action is again "add to addressbook", and it still gives the error window. If i use kmail's menu tools/addressbook, i can see that the email has actually been added. Twice, as i did try twice because of the menu thinguy.
