[kmail2] [Bug 373034] auto correction
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=373034 --- Comment #4 from resplin <richard-...@esplins.org> --- The setting appears to stick now. I installed langpacks-en I then went to System Settings -> Region -> Language and selected English as my preferred language. I then went to System Settings -> Region -> Spell Check and selected American English as my standard language. The setting in KMail's identity configuration now appears to stick. However, automatic spell check is still not happening. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[kmail2] [Bug 334571] Replacing selected text with a space just cancels the selection
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334571 --- Comment #1 from resplin richard-...@esplins.org --- Someone on #kde on Freenode replicated the issue with KDE 4.13.0 on OpenSuSE 13.1. For them, the space was being inserted after the selection instead of before. It appears that the space is inserted on the side of the selection which is the cursor position. Drag right to left, the space is before. Drag left to right, the space is inserted after. Double-click to select, and the space is inserted after. Regardless, the space should replace the selection, so it is clearly a bug. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=316036 resplin richard-...@esplins.org changed: What|Removed |Added CC||richard-...@esplins.org --- Comment #3 from resplin richard-...@esplins.org --- Variation of the name outside of the email address is not a problem. The system cannot guess which version of the name is the correct one. I see this bug as a feature. The local mailbox portion of an email is case sensitive, per RFC 2821. They should be treated as seperate email addresses. See: http://email.about.com/od/emailbehindthescenes/f/email_case_sens.htm It might seem like in practice you can combine the results based on a lowercase version, but it will be completely broken when you hit a rare exception. I don't think it is a problem to scan the list for the right email address. If the system suggests the most recently used version first, I rarely need to go past the first entry. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[kmail2] [Bug 334571] New: Replacing selected text with a space just cancels the selection
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334571 Bug ID: 334571 Summary: Replacing selected text with a space just cancels the selection Classification: Unclassified Product: kmail2 Version: 4.13.0 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: composer Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: richard-...@esplins.org I upgraded my Fedora 20 install to use tho KDE 4.13.0 packages from the Fedora development repository in order to replace nepomuk with baloo. I have the habit of typing, deciding that I want to get rid of what I typed, selecting the text including the surrounding spaces, pressing space, and typing my replacement text. Since upgrading KMail, pressing space merely cancels the selection leaving the cursor at the start of what was the selection. Then my typing goes in prior to the text I was trying to replace. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Compose a new email 2. Select some text 3. Press the space bar Actual Results: The selection is cancelled, and the cursor sits prior to the previously selected region. Expected Results: The selection should be replaced with a space. This does not happen in any other application. I have tested Firefox, LibreOffice, Konversation, KWrite, Choqok, and Telepathy. This does not happen with any other character. Pressing a will replace the selection with the letter a.
