Kugler --- In trying to invoke mysqld directly: $ /usr/sbin/mysqld --defaults-file=/home/jkugler/.local/share/akonadi/mysql.conf --datadir=/home/jkugler/.local/share/akonadi/db_data/ --socket=/run/user/1000/akonadi/mysql.socket --pid-file=/run/user/1000/akonadi/mysql.pid MariaDB starts and runs without issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

Similar problems. Fresh install. Installed kmail, had to manually install
akonadi-backend-mysql. Akonadi still won't start.
$ akonadictl start
