It is simple to replicate: - Go to a folder, e.g. sent-mail - select a message - it will be highlighted in the message list and it will be displayed in the message window - open the search message dialog - search for some string or whatever - select one of the messages found by the search in the searchwindow, it will be displayed in the message window -> the message list is not updated, it will still display the original message selected, even though the message window shows the new message -> if you do operations, such as "reply", it will replay to the original message, not the one selected from the search. Quite annoying, because it means you have to manually navigate to the message in the messagelist before you can do useful stuff such as replying to it. Note: For me, this bug was not in KDE 4.2.3. The message preview pane is not updated at all, if the last selected folder was different than the one we jump to, it becomes empty.
