This had caused my dIMAP folders being blue, as the close to quota threshold setting in Apparence/Colors had been reset to 0%. - ticking Use Custom colors, - setting the quota threshold to 90%, - and unticking Use custom colors solved the problem. However, all the customized colors (which were the default ones) are now black. That happened at the same time as losing part of my settings in kmailrc – a problem that I can't and don't want to reproduce. It seems like there's a problem with the folder close to quota feature. I set custom colors from appearance settings and all my blue folders changed color according to Folder Name and Size When Close to Quota. The account I have with blue folders is currently using 12Mb of 256Mb quota. I was switching on GPG integration, but I don't think that was part of it. As an added bit of weirdness the blue (#4A4AFF) turns to a red (#D24D4D) when I select custom colours from the appearance settings. It happened to 3/4 of my IMAP accounts after an upgrade from 4.3.5 to 4.4.1.
